The food is excellent. The lemon bars are to die for! I used Zia's for catering for scores of lunches, and the food was always a hit with my guests.

My friend and I decided to try Solomon's after walking around the UC Davis Arboretum and were greeted by Beth who answered our questions about the menu and allowed us to sample the Smoked Sturgeon Salad. We each chose The Big Kenny Kosher Hot Dog and a Pomegranate Mimosa. We also ordered The Lydia (Smoked Sturgeon Salad on a Bagel) to take home. Our letter grades:The Big Kenny, B+The Lydia, A- (We didn't like the Black Lava Salt Bagel but loved the Smoked Sturgeon Salad and will try The Lydia with an Onion Bagel next time.)Pomegranate Mimosa, B+Service, AThere are several other menu items that we'll try, including the Matzo Ball Soup, on our next visit

This Subway is similar to all others except that it is hidden behind a car repair place, which makes it an odd, hidden location off of Covell near the hospital. Probably gets much of its business from hospital workers and visitors, and I often forget it is there when thinking about getting food.
