Wonderful food and service! Can't even remember how many years we've enjoyed this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and order the whole muffuletta. It's huge, so you'll have plenty left over. (They'll wrap it for you.) The bread is outstanding, with a nice balance to the meat and olive dressing. Outstanding!

Bailey was an AWESOME server, knows her stuff and was great leading us through the menu like a pro. Lenten menu was fantastic as we deviated from the traditional BBQ. The Shrimp appetizer was amazing considering this is a restaurant with PORK in it's name. The Corn Dogs are a must try, as are the home made chips. And my salmon with purple rice? PERFECTION on a plate.

Newks is a favorite. Lately, I have strayed away from the salads to try their sandwiches. The grilled chicken sandwich is outstanding. The bread is super fresh and soft and the check and bacon are delicious. Nice change from the salads.

Want the best New Orleans Muffaletta anywhere in Louisiana? It's right here! This Jason's Deli makes a "special" sandwich that's even better than Central Grocery's, on Decatur Street in New Orleans, where owner Salvatore Lupo created it in 1906. Some folks say it's impossible to love food. They're wrong. I truly love food. But it has to be really, really good food. I know the difference and am usually totally dismissive of most restaurants because the food is often ordinary and ho-hum boring, at best. Not here.All the food here is fabulous. Everything is fresh and flavorful, including the salad bar at all hours of the day. Manager James Murphy keeps this restaurant in tip-top shape with on-site supervision and attention to detail. It is always a joy to eat here.My absolute favorite is the "Quarter Muffaletta Special." It's big and boldly flavored. The bread is like a light "French / focaccia bread" that's crispy outside and soft inside, with marinated olive salad and various Italian meats and cheeses. It's warm and slightly messy and delightful. If you like olives, do not miss out on this! The "Quarter Muffaletta Special" comes with chips and a choice of fresh fruit or a cup of soup. I always get the chips and pay a dollar more for the absolutely delightful salad bar. An ice cream cone dessert is included. Yummy!Here, all the sandwiches are really, really good. Great Reubens, super pastrami, plus interesting and genuinely tasty specialty sandwiches, clubs, paninis, wraps, pasta, potatoes, salads, soups, etc. This Jason's Deli is one of my very favorite restaurants anywhere. I am proud to recommend it. And, no, I don't know anybody here and I am not getting anything from this restaurant except the pleasure of dining here and paying a reasonable price for an extraordinary experience.
