We are Hildebrandt's. A family-owned, German-inspired delicatessen with a heaping helping of Southern hospitality. We have character. We have style. Our wares and fare have been time-tested and Augusta-approved since 1879, when Nicholas Hildebrandt founde
We found this delightful restaurant through TripAdvisor and we were not disappointed. It was built in 1879 and we got to meet the fourth generation family owner and operator. Food and atmosphere were great and the best German potato salad. We are so thankful for your 5-star review and we appreciate you sharing your positive experience with all on TripAdvisor. Hope to see you again really soon!

The Village Deli Sub and Pub is a staple among the Augusta area. Remarkably ran for the last twenty five years, we constantly serve up amazing lunch and dinner items that continue to bring in more and more repeat customers. Our large menu offers everythin
We went here due to the high ratings-when traveling, we usually look for BBQ joints, but none of the local ones looked all that good, so we decided to try the Village Deli and Pub. We were seated quickly, and a nice waitress ( Maddie) took our drink orders. She was back fairly quickly with our drinks, and we asked for a few minutes to order. After a few questions ( I am lactose intolerant, and have to find out what I can eat sometimes), we ordered, and sat back to enjoy our drinks, and people watch. VERY quickly, our meals came out, and were both correct. Both of our meals were good, mine served , and mine was very hot, and wife's salad was very nice, except for the fact that the Romaine was a bit old. After being served, however, things started to decline.A waitress came over , while we were eating, and dropped off a bill....which did not include my 2 beers. My wife questioned this, but I told her it must be how they do things there. there was no total, which I found strange. We finished our meal, and waited for a totaled bill, but it never came. I finally laid 40$ cash on the bill, ( which, according to my calculations, should have been enough), and the waitress took it off to cash out. A few moments later, another girl came over, and told us we were $1.21 short, so I gave her 8$, to cover a tip as well. Then, I started figuring....and came up with the same amount for food I had before. I called over a waitress to find out if we were paying 9$ a beer, but she said no...they were 4.50 ( which is bad enouugh!). I told her they made a mistake on our bill, and she went to rectify it. The former girl came back, apologized, and gave us our excess money back. They had overcharged us a bit over $11, due to the waitress putting someone else's drinks on our tab.The food was okay, but I don't think we'll, be going back.

Can't miss the yellow house converted into restaurant. We had 2 giant sub cheesesteaks with handcut fries. Ordered Soul Rolls jerky chicken. Cheesesteaks were based on how much steaks do you want on sub, not size of the subs as I imagined. totally friendly staffs all around. This is not typical franchise cheesesteaks with minimal steaks on sub for cheap price. You do receive what you pay for. Food was amazingly best and staffs were super accommodating. I was skeptical at first from the looks of the place. We were highly satisfied!
