I didn't expect much entering this small local restaurant in Grenaa, but the food was actually pretty good. Not good as in "new and creative and artistic expressions on your plate", but good as in "decent quality of taste and honest simple presentations". They had an upgraded version of the classic dish "stjerneskud" with salmon added and their roasted potatoes were really yummy - greasy and crispy in the perfect way. The staff maybe seemed a bit new in the restaurant business - they didn't know much about the food, waiting time for available tables etc.

This restaurant has got to be one of the finest for offering a massive buffet consisting of traditional Danish food. The food is excellent quality and very delicious. Lots to choose from both in starters, mains and deserts. You pay pr. hour you are seated. 1 hour is around £19, 2 hours are £22, and this includes cold and warm drinks, beer and wine. http://www.skakkesholm.dk

Cozy restaurant serving open danish sandwiches. New evening menu every week.
We had time to spend before our departure and we stopped by to have a latte. Wow... Nice little place and great coffee served with a piece of Valrhona chocolate! Thé have a small boutique that offered à large choice of gourmet goodies. We did not have lunch but we saw the plates that seemed to be delicious.

The place didn't look that special but the food was actually great from fresh ingredients! We enjoyed some excellent local beers, great flatfish - and a fish plate that had a selection of very tasty seafood treats. TIP: If you choose to eat outside, watch out for the greedy seagulls.
