Reviews on Czech food in Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic. The Czech Republic's most famed spa destination, Karlovy Vary - or Carlsbad - saw 200 spa houses sprout by the end of the 1500s. The springs in this idyllic, lush, peaceful Tepla valley are said to cure an almanac's worth of metabolic and gastric issues. Visitors still flock to this town of Baroque and Art Nouveau buildings. Five beautiful Colonnades straddle hot springs where visitors try aquatherapy and drink the mineral-rich water. The town also has a respected international film festival.

Choosed this place following to a recommendation of a colleague from our CZ office. We liked it, therefore, we went there two times. We enjoyed the place. Well decorated, the bathrooms are clean. You can even find mouthwash, cologne and earbuds. The food was delicious. We tried goat cheese salad, one of the best goulash I have ever eaten, beefsteak and trout. I recommend this place. 100%.

You are truly dining with a superior chief who has the art of using fresh herbs, fruits, spices to enhance his high quality foods. The fennel salad lovely beginning with several unexpected lettuces, the crispy moist duck was placed on two types of warm sweet cabbage and a special treat (on the left) dumplings made with goose liver pate. Dessert was something creative the chef prepared. Apples and another fruit surrounding a gelatin accented with lots of cinnamon and cloves. See for yourself!

We went there for Sunday lunch. The restaurant was quite busy but the food was prepared quickly nevertheless. All of the food was excellent and very well prepared. My roasted pork neck with two types of cabbage and mixed dumplings is a dish I have had many times in Czech restaurants. This was undoubtedly the best I have ever had. The meat was tender and moist. I think it is excellent value for the money given the quality of the food and better value than other similar level restaurants in Karlovy Vary.We were charged for the bread brought to the table. We did not ask for it and later we were charged for it. It was not expensive so the cost is not an issue but, it should have been made clear that it was going to be charged for. The waitresses were efficient and friendly but seemed a little rushed.Overall an excellent lunch and I will be going again the next time I am in Karlovy Vary.Dear Amuzzy, thank you so much for your brilliant review! It is very important for us to know that our customers are happy with the food. And thank you for your advice about bread - we will talk with our employees about that.Looking forward to see you again!

If you are tiered of mainstream food and want som genuine local well cooked food. Then you should take the walk up to this restaurant. Itâs a little steep walk from the center, but itâs all worth it..Here you can eat really good traditional dishes in a very nice atmosphere...Mind that they donât accept Credit cards, but you can pay with euros...

My friends and I chose this restaurant thanks to the good remarks on tripadvisor .. none of the waiters, unfortunately, can speak English but one of my friend can soeak a little bit Czech. They were so nice with and they really appreciated the huge effort of my friend. We ordered three different dishes and they were all really tasty!

This restaurant is the best!! Fine quisine with a fantastic tasting menu. The service is superb, the pairing wines are outstanding and the quality of the dishes is worth to plan a night out to this lovely cozy restaurant. We had both a tasting menu and with extra coffee and pairing drinks the overall price is way cheaper than we expected.
