The port town of Golfito (literally 'little gulf') is located in Puntarenas Province on the southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, near the border of Panama. The town lies on a narrow strip of land between the eponymous bay and a hill and consist of two parts, the town proper and shopping area to the south, and a residential area near the port. Still further north are the duty-free zone and an airstrip.

Went for dinner, looking for something fresh and we're on the coast so may as well have seafood n fish.Ordered a whole Snapper. Saimon(sp?) brought me the Snapper so I could check for freshness, nice touch, dad had a seafood platter. The Snapper was a pretty good size so wife n i shared it. Wish it would've come with something a bit more. We had a salad with dinner, again, nice n fresh. Both were fresh n delicious. Saimon provided good service. A good dinner out.

As usual, our group was served a delicious lunch. Everybody seemed to have something different from their famous hamburgers to fried fish to ceviche to nachos, and everyone was thoroughly pleased. The atmosphere is beautiful, and the chairs are very comfortable, something not always encountered n CR restaurants.Highly recommend in Golfito. You can legally park alongside the street in town; it's sort of a Golfito tradition. Just don't totally block the sidewalk.

Used this restaurant as a landmark in Google Maps for where the water taxi was located in Golfito. It is slightly right as you walk off the pier from the water taxi. The water taxi doesn't show on Google Maps (yet). Somebody drop a pin!Anyway, the have A/C, clean bathrooms and take credit cards which is nice. The breakfasts were good and the service friendly. The batidos (fruit smoothies) were good and huge.

We went to the restaurant on September 17, 2016. Waiter recommended fried fish red snapper. The fish was terrible. I could hardly cut thru to get few pieces of fish meat. I was happy to leave this place.

Our family loved our breakfast at Soda Mercadito on our last visit to Golfito. Very diverse menu with lots of kid choices. We will be back on our next visit. Great customer service and yummy food!
