We were drawn in by the different menu and were not disappointed. What a fantastic menu, so different from many others and so imaginative, using fresh, local ingredients. The tomato essence was amazing and the mains, steak and prawns, cooked to perfection. The desserts were unusual but utterly fanatastic. An excellent selection of aperitifs, wines and beers accompanied the meal which was topped off by outstanding service from a young, knowledgable and passionate staff. This restaurant is a little out of town on Schmittenstasse but do make the effort, you wonât be disappointed.

We generally love to eat somewhere special when we travel. Mayerâs certainly lived up to our expectations. We arrived for dinner. Although dark, the Schloss looking fabulous, all beautiful lighting and snow. The staff were polite and helpful. We ordered the 6 course degustation. Some unique combinations, but everything was lovely. Truly molecular gastronomy magic. Well worth the money.
