Had a work Christmas (2018) party at Indigo restaurant and it was delicious. The supreme chicken was tender and thyme sauce flavoursome . Went again on Thursday night with work and was so disappointed. The chicken was small dry and lacked flavour. The Tyne sauce was just cream and thyme not reduction or flavour at all . Pumpkin and zucchini was over cooked and twice the size of chicken piece . For $25 plus it was a big disappointment. I will never book another work function again there. Staff where great and did listen to us as no one was happy with there meal. Hi Pet1101,I am really sorry that you and your guests were disappointed with the meals you received on Thursday 25th and that the team working was not able to rectify those issues for you on the night. Contemporary Australian/Italian. We specialise in fresh seafood, the highest grade meats, delicious pasta and paella and desserts that are a treat. We also boast one of the best wine lists on the Central Coast. We can cater for function up to 80 guests an
We look for three things in a restaurant - food, service and atmosphere - any two of these can make up for a deficiency in the third. The food was well cooked and nicely presented so there's a tick.Atmosphere -the warning bells went off when we got there and the place was empty with the waitress doing the books on a restaurant table. Not a good look. It was a cold night maybe keeping patrons away so we stayed anyway. Eventually two other tables showed up. The restaurant is looking shabby and its a huge mistake to have brooms/ mops visible from any part of the dining area. There was a distinct smell of old cooking oil. Do the books at home or out of sight. All of these issues are minor and can be easiliy addressed- but they all make the place feel like a restaurant in decline. So thats a cross. Now we understand that when things are tight the family chip in. All good. But the service felt forced - not unpleasant - just uncomfortable and not well done. Thats another cross. This is still saveable. Open the building up during the day and let it air. Give it a thorough clean. Make sure nothing to do with maintenance can be seen from anywhere in the dining area. A professional waiter would also help. But unfortunately its too late for us.

An exciting new food offering, Maccoa, has recently burst onto the Central Coast dining landscape. The beautifully elegant and simple restaurant, located at The Clan, Terrigal, boasts 180-degree views across the golden sands of Terrigal Lagoon, all the wa
This is attached to the Clan Motel in Terrigal. The dining room is plain to the extreme, but quite pleasant nonetheless. Staff are clearly from the Motel, and are enthusiastic and helpful, if sometimes a little uncertain. The Menu offers limited choices, but just enough to meet most needs. My garlic prawns were absolutely standard, and 6 largish prawns for $19 was just OK value for money. My wife declared her Wild Mushroom Pâté to be good only after she liberally seasoned it with salt and pepper. My main was a BBQ Pork Cutlet, which came with Pineapple and kale. It was actually quite good. It was very large and well cooked, and served with a very tasty jus that went well with the meat. The pineapple had been slightly pickled and was tasty without being too sweet. The kale had been sautéed, and was very similar to English Spinach. My wifeâs Fillet Beef was not cooked as requested (more medium than rare) but was still tender and quite tasty. The desserts were uninspiring, and we avoided them.Overall a reasonable Restaurant, perhaps slightly overpriced, and representing straightforward âAustralianâ cuisine that is quite tasty, and virtually guaranteed to offend no-one.Thank you very much for your feedback Simon. We appreciate you taking the time to review Maccoa Terrigal and we will definitely be passing your comments on to our team and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

We are a small restaurant in Terrigal, on the Central Coast of NSW, just an hour north of Sydney. Teaming fresh, seasonal local produce, with punchy, vibrant flavours, we strive to be a beacon of contemporary regional dining.
Been here a couple of times now and it has been the same each time . Consistent. Beautiful food , prepared slightly differently. Great wine selection. And the owner is a character who makes it more enjoyable. Highly recommend.
