We visited while staying at Waenfechan glamping down the road for my partners birthday. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and helpful lady (unfortunately didn’t get her name) who got us our drinks and let us pick a table to sit at. We were made to feel very welcome as soon as we walked in. We both tried the Snowdon larger which was very tasty. We were one of the first in because we arrived bang on 7, however more people started to arrive after us. The food was absolutely amazing, the best meal I’ve had in a long time. I had the liver pate starter and garlic mushroom pasta main and my partner had garlic bread for starter and the beef burger for main. You could tell the food was homemade with lots of love. We went on a Monday which meant we were able to have the special menu, (on Mondays and Tuesdays they have a 2 course for £10 or 3 course for £15 menu) and we were so so impressed, such good value for money and extremely yummy. The only disappointing thing was that I couldn’t fit a dessert in I was that full! Will have to save that for next time. The decor is 17th century style, old but cosy. It was nice to see a very traditional pub and added to the fabulous experience. If you’re looking for amazing food for a very good price this is the place for you. I really recommend visiting this place! Can’t wait to return

Having frequented other Johnny Dough establishments including the one in Llandudno, we were pleasantly surprised to see one in Conwy too.We received a warm welcome from the waitress on arrival who quickly brought us menus and some drinks. Our pizzas were delivered in no time and were fresh and very tasty. The tables and chairs are a little basic, but that didn't really mar our enjoyment of the food.

Bodysgallen Hall & Spa

Very nice property, beautiful gardens. We booked for Afternoon Tea which was very disappointing, both in size & quality. Bread didn’t taste fresh & crust was left on some sandwiches. Not a heinous crime, but really, in such places, you’d expect more attention to detail. Cakes were unthrilling. It was all just very very average. £26.95 per person. Cappuccinos & the like are charged as extra. Service was very pleasant & food delivery quick. It was very quiet so had little ambience. Unimpressed. We thank this reviewer for their kind comments relating to the property, gardens and service, and are really sorry if there were any short comings with the food served. We would have welcomed the opportunity to put matters right at the time of the visit, if we had known all was not to the reviewers satisfaction. All of the elements that comprise traditional Welsh afternoon priced at £26.00 per person are either made daily in our kitchen, or delivered freshly baked each morning. We believe that the atmosphere of this Grade I listed National Trust mansion has its own agreeable resonances, and are sorry if the reviewer did not like the ambience of this historic house. It is always our intention that a visit to Bodysgallen Hall & Spa is one that will be remembered for the right reasons, and I do hope this reviewer will return.
