The restaurant is nestled on the outside of the city wall. The signage is inadequate to direct you to the customer's parking. Instead of a gravel surface, we wound up parking in the mud with the employees. The restaurant has a large manicured lawn and garden and even several rows of grape vines. The interior is modern and trimmed in stained, industrial grade lumber which gives a fleeting impression of elegance. The menu and wine list are not nearly as extensive as that on the website implies, but it still speaks of elegance. My wife and I each ordered from the wild offerings. Both dishes looked wonderful, however my Hirsch was a little on the tough side. My wife's Wild boar was like shoe leather. When we complained to the waiter, he made several apologies and finally removed my wife's plate from which she had eaten about a quarter of the meat.I have been in several upscale restaurants where something similar has happened. Each sought ways to correct the situation from making a new dish to giving a full or partial refund of the dish. At the Orangerie, my wife got a free Espresso!I can understand that sometimes a restaurant makes a bad purchase, but when your reputation is on the line, you need to do more than give a free espresso that costs you perhaps 0,35â¬.Had the restaurant made a sincere effort to deal with this problem, I would have given them 4 Points and forgiven the incident. At the prices charged, this becomes a reason to not recommend the restaurant, despite all the things that were done well. What is particularly sad is that aside from the meat quality, we were pleased with the presentation, food taste and the wines.

It started badly. We arrived 10 minutes early and our reserved table wasnât ready. And little things like that happened consistently throughout the evening. One of our knives was slightly broken at its tip. They donât leave the wine on the table and come back and fill your glasses, but at the beginning of our meal they were too busy to remember. (Towards the end they made up for it by being super-attentive.) Even after spending more than 200⬠the final drink wasnât offered (a personal bugbear). So thatâs the not so good. On the other side the food was excellent and the à la carte options are well-thought-through. As they should be for the price. Thereâs a wide variety of beef options. The place is trendy, with plenty of space between the tables so itâs not noisy or cramped. And with the exception of the little problems Iâve mentioned, the service was ok. If the meal had cost 100⬠this would certainly be a 4-star review - maybe even 5-star. At over 200⬠(a couple of 3-course meals and 2 bottles of wine + aforementioned drinks) I can really only give it 3 stars. At that price you only expect the best. I hope they read this and improve. The restaurant has huge potential.

We stopped in for a drink and ended up staying for dinner. Cool and trendy inside and a beautiful garden, where we sat for dinner. Excellent wine list. Friendly service and great food. The iberico pork chop was delicious. All the choices are imaginative and contain the freshest ingredients (we saw them bringing in the mushrooms at 5:30pm). There are many good restaurants in this small town, this is an excellent one!
