Pub and eatery in the stunning Watermouth Valley North Devon.
I really don't enjoy leaving bad reviews but this place is not how they market themselves! Having been holidaying in the area for a couple of days we planned in a nice evening out to come here dine and relax. It looks so amazing from the outside and is set in an absolutely beautiful location but that's all thats going for it. Such a shame as inside, its badly laid out (no reference to being an old sawmill) with boring plain decor and allow dogs everywhere. Staff have a bad attitude and don't seem to care so in the end we just got up and left without ordering. Ironically, another couple who entered just as we were leaving, literally did the same and walked straight back out! Sorry but we won't be back or recommending.

We visited here while on holiday in croyde. There was a great selection of different food, something for everyone! I got the lamb which was excellent, full of flavour and cooked perfectly. My partner got the chicken, which was just as good. For desert I had the cream tea and creme brûlée as I just couldnât pick! Both as good as each other. Scones seemed fresh and arrived warm. Creme brûlée come as nice big portion. Service throughout the meal was great, friendly staff and very attentive. Will definitely be returning on future holidays to croyde.

Tyme Restaurant is set within the historic Trimstone Manor Country House Hotel which lies in 44 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens in the North Devon countryside. We serve quality cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and local and are open all year for coff
We we given a gourmet dining experience voucher and when planning a visit to Devon we decided to visit Trimstone Manor. We received a very friendly and informative welcome from Sue who was a perfect host with great interpersonal skills and a sense of humour. When we were given the menu we were initially taken aback at the lack of choice (3 items) however right there were one of our favourite meals that we would probably have picked if there were a hundred items on the menu and can understand why the restricted menu was necessary given that we were the only ones dining that evening. The food was perfectly cooked by Debbie who showed she cared and showed genuine interest in our enjoyment of her creations. The manor and grounds are beautiful, although we did not have time to fully explore before it got dark.We shall return when next in the area and wish the staff and owner increased success to what was a well found oasis in the beautiful Devon countryside.Dear BaldEagle Thank you so much for your review - we really appreciated it. We are so pleased that you had a good time with us. Yes, we write the menu every day so the preparations are only for that night's meal and not a large range of freezer or microwaved produce which can be the answer to an otherwise very extensive menu! Naturally if guests forewarn us we can accommodate any preference and certainly we do our utmost to cater for dietary needs again. Even then, if by chance there is a difficult in the selection, Chef will always have something up her sleeve to ensure guests are very happy! Indeed, for special parties and things we love to work with guests on the menu so we are a favourite for celebrations of all types as a result! We shall very much look forwrad to seeing you again. The Restaurant is available on Friday and Saturday nights and also other nights for groups of six or more. We hope that more people will come and join us for a great dining experience. All good wishes and thank you again for taking the time to leave a review Philip J Milton Owner

We are open Friday and Saturday nights at 7.00pm but are happy to open other nights for bookings. The restaurant tends to be quite popular so we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment. If require any help or assistance please don't hesitate to
We chose this restaurant to host a family gathering to celebrate my mum's 80th birthday, on the recommendation of my mum who lives nearby, and it was a really good choice. There was great communication beforehand (we'd decided to pre-order as there were 12 of us) and all the food was excellent. The restaurant used to be a butchers a long time ago and the interior was charming. We were all on a long table but everyone could still speak to each other and we all had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. They are only open on Friday and Saturday evenings, but you can see why it's so popular with the locals. Highly recommended.

My husband and I recently moved to Woolacombe and celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary at NC. It was an amazing evening. Noel and Nora make a great team and everything served was impeccable from the first course to Nora's famous mexican coffee to end off with. I'm unfortunately allergic to shellfish and having checked with Noel before booking he was able to allow for this. I didn't miss out on any courses and his substitutes were delicious. Being able to watch him prepare the food and plate was such a fantastic experience as I'm a foodie and love watching the creations. Met some lovely couples in the intimate setting as well. Perfect anniversary evening - looking forward to our 18th there! Jaunita and Gavin Gobby
