A Tasting Menu Concept! Ring the door bell to come inside! A closed door restaurante which works preferably with reservations, where clientes can find service that is refined, attentive and above all personalized. A romantic and distinct space.
After the visit I doubt that the reviews here are either somehow bought or created by the restaurant themselves. Itâs pretending to be fine dining while it obviously is not and should not be classified as such. What you do get is many dishes of good home cooking quality. It is quite obvious that the chef is not trained in any high level gastronomy. However, ok food for the price you pay. The wine paring (or wine tasting, as they called it) seems to be meant for someone who has not really tried wine at all. It contained âwhite wineâ and âred wineâ etc., which might be interesting for someone who has not learned to distinguish between white/red/rose wines. Itâs kind of hard to surpress a smile when the waiter comes to you, introducing your wine as simply âwhite wineâ even without mentioning the producer or the grapes. This being said, the young man waiting tables seemed to be trying his best and was friendly.Maybe rebranding as something else than fine dining might help and prevent dissappointments?

Popped in for lunch. My wife was feeling bad so I needed to stay close to our lodging. Da Prata 52 was around the corner and was a most pleasant surprise. The shrimp in white wine and garlic was outstanding. Followed with chicken thighs and piripiri. Letâs just say piripiri is so spicy it makes old men sing. It was really good though you will ask for more to drink. Great petiscos lunch and servers were great.

We will be open for dinner on Sunday, the 14th of February.
We visited Clube de Journalistas three years ago and decided to go back with some trepidation - we have frequently been disappointed when revisiting restaurants and hotels. Fortunately, we weren't disappointed; Clube de Journalistas was every bit as good as we remembered. The food is excellent and the service efficient and friendly. If the weather is good (and it nearly always is in Lisbon), the sunken garden is a lovely place to have dinner, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere. It was a bit quieter than we remember, it deserves to be full every night. We would thoroughly recommend Clube de Journalistas if you are looking for slightly special occasion that won't break the bank,

A great and a delicious restaurant located in one Lisbon's most beautiful hotels. A trendy and relaxed place to enjoy a drink or meal in the centre of Lisbon.
Delicious garlic prawns and octopus salad for starters, we both chose in iberico pork and mushroom risotto, absolutely delicious. Excellent house wine for both , white and red, generously poured....70 euros for 2, starter main and 2 glasses of wine each... Dear Customer,We were very pleased to read your positives comments. The satisfaction of our customers is somethingthat motivates us to continue to improve our service on a daily basis. We hope to return to receive your visitin a future very soon.Best Regards,Table Group

In the heart of Chiado, Henrique Sá Pessoaâs Alma restaurant is one of the greatest gastronomic references in Lisboa. The chef and his team were awarded by the most known gastronomy guide. A chefâs cusine, a wide room, elegant and comfortable, perfect for
We enjoyed the intensity of the flavours, especially in the early snacks and surprises. We felt we were attended by too many different people and the dishes were served in swift succession. Sometimes in a Michelin-Starred Restaurant, a chef may come to the table to serve one particular dish. In this place, however, we were served by several waiters and sommeliers. We were greeted and shown to the table by someone who was not a maitre d as such. We were shown out by a different person and, in between we were served by six or seven different people. Everybody gets the same treatment and script. You can overhear the food introductions at other tables, before these are delivered to you in precisely similar terms. I felt this made our experience formulaic rather than special. To sum up, the first few surprise dishes were very enjoyable but the main courses were served too quickly and the experience fell flat half way through. When we were leaving, the person who showed us out the door asked if we had enjoyed ourselves. I replied that in our country the top restaurants advise setting aside two and a half to three hours to enjoy a tasting menu. She responded with disdain that their service takes one hour and a half which is sufficient.

Because we know that the best moments are associated with good food and the people we love the most. Portuguese cuisine at its best.
Week day dinner. Arrived around 20:15 without a reservation and there was already a waiting list for tables despite several free tables, which we assumed where booked.Decoration wise, The restaurant is minimalistic but functional and comfortable. Staff were VERY friendly. Despite a longer than expected wait, food was served fast after we got seated. The âchefs suggestionâ of a fish and meat dish were both very good. Good portion, nicely cooked and good quality ingredients. Portuguese food with a little âgastroâ care. House red and white wine were very nice. We tried the chocolate cake which we were told was the best but felt it didnât stand to the sold expectation. you might be better of with one of the typical Portuguese desserts. 2 course with drinks, coffee and bread can set you back around 22 euros/pp. I would recommend you book to avoid waiting. We never understood why we were made to wait for a table when all the free table were never taken. Hi there,Thank you so much for your words. We're glad you enjoyed the service.Sometimes it gets a bit slow because we have so many booked tables. We're looking into it and we will improve that area.Hope to see you again.Best,Mãe.

Breakfast - Lunch - Saturday brunch - Afternoon break - A lot of pastries - and so much more ! Daily Home made with local fresh products
After slogging our way up and down some of the hills of Lisbon we lingered outside this establishment and decided it was time for lunch. A great decision. We ordered from the menu (rather than the display) and everything seemed to be prepared to order. My wife had an avocado and ham sandwich with Angel Tea; she said it was delicious and will go hunting for the tea now we're home. I had avocado and smoked salmon toast, equally delicious and accompanied by sencha (green tea). A great place and we'll seek it out again next time we're in Lisbon.Dear AlananLyn, thank you very much for this review!Tea lovers are always more than welcome here :-)

Cheese House. Taste, share, eat and take it with you, all around the Cheese! A space where you can enjoy the sun with a cheese board of the world, have a glass of wine, share some of our tidbits or have a romantic and exquisite dinner on a special occasio
The restaurant has a cosy and original vibe. Everything dish has cheese in it, but consideringvthat I am not a cheese lover, everything dish was tastyband well balanced. Wine is also a strong feature in the menu, and goes really well with the cheese flavours. Great experience. A place to return to.

We so wanted to love this place, having heard accolades from a close friend and having reading generally terrific reviews. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming hostess/server who apologized profusely for our table not being quite ready and made up for it with a nice glass of wine. She was also very helpful in walking us through the somewhat quirky menu- a rather limited and odd assortment without an obvious theme. Two dishes we ordered - sardines and a chocolate lava cake - were excellent. Two - carrot salad and cod - were not. The former was a collection of cooked/chilled sliced carrots swimming in a broth that tasted too strongly of raw garlic. The cod pieces were well cooked but very bland, accompanied by cooked cabbage that was again badly seasoned with garlic, this time burned. Perhaps our expectations were too high, but perplexing to us that our experience seemed so contrary to what others have reported - not sure why. PS - as others have reported, the prices are incredibly low.
