Iedereen is altijd even behulpzaam en vriendelijk.

In this neighbourhood the Arco is exceptional because of the continuous quality of its pizza and pasta. A good choice and good level.

This brasserie is in a new, nice building with a cosy atmosphere except for the hidious painting of a Porche on the wall (I hope the owners will get rid of it soon !).When we entered there was a distinct smell of fish that was very disturbing. Later we saw the kitchen is partially open so that might be the reason. I hope the owners will correct that soon.We had a very nice table by the window overlooking the historical windmill of Eksel. We received a menu very fast. When we wanted to order we waited and waited and waited and were very upset to see that there were 3 ladies who were available to serve people but only one of them was working and the other 2 were talking to guests at the bar.We finally had to order at the bar.I hope the service will improve soon.I had a capuccino which was very nice and my husband had a "palet of beers". This palet consisted of 4 tasting glasses of 15cl with 4 kinds of Belgian beers (the waitress explained the names of the beers when she served them) and a small bowl of cheese cubes and a small bowl of sausage slices. I tasted the beers as well and they were lovely. We had never seen such tasting glasses in a brasserie in Belgium before so it was a nice surprise. When we looked at the menu to see which food they served, we noticed the prices are a bit higher than you would expect. We will go here again and we hope the things that bottered us during our first visit will have improved by then.
