The restaurant was pretty empty on a Sunday evening, what we didn't mind a lot. The waitress was friendly and the ambient was rather fine. The prices on the meals were high, but I guess the ingredients and high quality is worth it. I can highly recommend the Tuna Steak, it comes with pickled vegetables and tomato sauce.

Revisited on a Monday night with a friend. Positive things: Eggs Benedict on the menu now clearly states that the eggs are boiled. Dessert was great Hot Cherry Clafoutis with vanilla ice cream. Main course? Very bad! Ordered a Vienna Snitzel. Did mention that I was a bit of a specialist in snitzel. Also ask only for a snitzel and nothing else. So the snitzel came out. One positive: good size as it is supposed to be, but everything was wrong: it was not Vienna, because it was pork and it was done in a frying pan. One needs the crust to curl up a bit and to be soft. It was well seasoned and eatable, but if I would have bought a frozen snitzel in a supermarket it would have been better. And as usual there was some other stuff on my plate, the stuff I did not want. It was hidden under the meat. Yak! I asked for a just a snitzel.Halfway through the meal I had to rush to the toilet and throw up and there were no hand towels in the toilet. On my return I presented the waitress with a hair, which was in the crust of the snitzel. It was long and blond ( like mine ), but was not mine, because my hair is very, very thick. Examined it carefully. My hair is more chewy, too. Was asked if I wanted another snitzel, but I denied. Nevertheless we ordered dessert and to make up for the hair we were offered a cup of coffee. Dessert was good so that made up a bit, but so sad that a chef does not know what a Vienna snitzel is and how it should be prepared.

Kattukerzandt is a fairly new restaurant at the far south corner of the boulevard. It has replaced a simple food truck style outlet that used to be there for many years. Kattukerzandt has indoor and outdoor seating and even a few lounge chairs in the dunes. They serve decent food options and have a full bar. Alternatively they also have a separate outlet for icecream and french fries.
