My wife and I regularly eat at Walkerâs when in Jackson and we are never disappointed. This time we each had the Hereford beef filet with sides of mashed potatoes, asparagus, sautéed spinach and crunchy onion âstringsâ. Simply splendid. Though stuffed we could not pass up the fried fig pie and fig pecan cake, both out of this world. The food, combined with top notch service, make this restaurant a true star.

1908 Provisions provides local charm and unmatched experiences nightly, beginning with the staff, who treat each guest like a nightly regular. We are ready and willing to walk you through our farm to table menu prepared by Executive Chef Corey Ellison. Ea
We were tired after driving all day, so was nice to have a restaurant and bar right in the hotel as an option. The Library Lounge (separate review) is right next to the restaurant, and also serves small plates. When we moved to the restaurant, we were the only ones in there, and it stayed that way through our entire meal. Granted, it was a little early, but that was surprising. The decor is nice enough and the place is spotless. We were surprised at how slow it was getting our food, especially since we were the only ones in there. However, the food was quite good. Redfish for me, and hubby's lamb chops were some of the best he's ever had. I wouldn't make a special trip to eat here, but no complaints about the food.

This is part of the Mississippi Museum of Art. The food is excellent, but be prepared for a longish wait, because everything is prepared from scratch. I ordered a grilled veggie sandwich, and the huge pile of delicious vegetables (beauifully fresh) were all grilled as I waited, and waited. There were almost no other customers ahead of me, so I dread to think how long it could take, if the place was crowded! My wife had a roast beef sandwich, with enough meat for an Ethiopian family of six! The tiramisu dessert was very tasty. One negative observation: while the food is served on porcelain, and the utensils are metal, drinks (water, coffee, etc.) are served in styrofoam cups! Not very classy! Laslty, the cafe is only open between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, on Tuesdays through Fridays, so nothing available on the weekends or evenings.
