We came through for the picnic on Saturday and I just wanted to thank you and your staff for making it such a wonderful and memorable experience! The menu was fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed everything! A few of the standout items were the breads (so wonderfully fresh), the pate, tapenade and dressing were very tasty, the brownies were a wonderful treat and of course the prawns were delicious and left us wanting more! The picnic basket itself was neatly packed and a real treat to be surprised when opening each container to see what was inside â loved that! The area and setup was very relaxing and the sound of the water streaming by made it very peaceful. We both appreciated that the area was private and quiet, it made it that much more special.Michael was our waiter and was very friendly and went the extra mile with bringing us extra ice for our champagne â real 5 star servicing, as we have come to get used to at Forum Homini. It was a great experience - highly recommend!

As we entered Piccolo Mondo, we were welcomed by almost every front line staff member. So nice to see so many happy staff member at 6:30am. We loved the variety of food on display for breakfast buffet. They have fresh fruit, cereals with yoghurts, juices, tea or coffees, cold meats, cheeses, Asian food, cooked breakfast. My husband and I were very impressed with the customer service we received. Dear brettnjess, Thank you for your wonderful review on TripAdvisor. Went for a family dinner and good seating was available. The venue was comfortable and reasonably spaced out. We each had a starter and a main course. The snoek starter was very tasty and there was a good choice of main course dishes. The ladies found the venison parcels a bit filling but they looked small to me. The rump steak & the sole were excellent

Found the restaurant on google and based on the website, we decided to celebrate birthday's. Being from Durban, the restaurant was slightly difficult to find based on WAZE. Parking is very inconvenient as we had to walk in heels to the restaurant which was a good walk away. Upon the elevator doors opening, the restaurant is beautiful, well lit and spacious. we where escorted to our table and asked immediately to place our drink orders. Once the drinks arrived we where asked to place our orders. the waiter insisted we place our starters and mains at the same time. We asked the waiter for his suggestions and ironically he pushed the most expensive meals down our throat, R900 for a steak sheesh dairy cow or not that is a bit much! However we managed to order what WE wanted. The prawn and avo starter is absolutely amazing and is a must try, for my main i had the sirloin steak, was not the greatest but was good. The dessert menu then came, and i had to remind the waiter that we where celebrating two birthdays'. I made a reservation and sent a follow up email to confirm this. I was a bit annoyed with having to remind the waiter that we were celebrating a birthday in front of the people who where celebrating their birthdays. We received ice cream with a card. We also had the ice cream cookie, nothing extraordinary, but the cinnamon meringue is amazing.Visit for the experience, and Instagram photo but nothing would really make me want to return.

The exciting addition to Clico was the new restaurant opened in October 2015. Off-street parking accessible from Jellicoe Avenue allows for easy access to Clico Restaurant. Clico has become renowned for being an intimate establishment, offering personalis
Creative menu that will satisfy any foodie, making use of seasonal/local ingredients, presented beautifully by a chef who obviously takes pride in his work. He made a point of visiting our table when we arrived. We stayed at the hotel and liked the food so much we ate at the restaurant every night rather than venturing out. We couldn't imagine finding better elsewhere!Dear gmw725, Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. It's lovely reading how you enjoyed your time and Clico and we proud to hear how you enjoyed the meals and that you got to meet our Chef. Who is indeed a very creative chef. We look forward to having you back with us real soon. Kind RegardsJaco Wheeler

We visited Mad Giant Brewery and Urbanologi for fathers day lunch. On arrival the dads were give a free draft beer which was a good start! The menu was very interesting with lots of choices, servings are reasonably sized so we could mix and match orders as we wanted to try out the various choices.Service was very good and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. All round a great place for lunch and will definitely be back again to enjoy the location and the good food and service.Menu prices are reasonable with a good price range.

The Black Bamboo offers a truly unique, world-class dining experience, which celebrates the synergy between food, wine and art. An ever-changing a-la-carte menu is inspired by international delicacies with a local twist, and a carefully selected wine list
This was a disappointing evening. The first 3 courses were well presented by the Somuleur who then for some unknown reason disappeared. We requested that the meals be spaced so that we could enjoy a lovely evening seated outside, as we were smokers. Unfortunately, we then had to constantly request the waiter to remove the used wine glasses which were cluttering the table, we had to request that they clean the ashtrays, and then we were advised that the kitchen was closing (21h00?? for an 8 course wine pairing evening). - Thereafter the food was put on the table, with no cutlery and we had no idea what we were supposed to be eating and what type of wine we were being served with that particular meal ! And when we questioned this we were then informed by a waiter - really ?- what happened to the presentation of the first 3 courses??? We were then offered a discount on our bill, in front of our guests, for our inconvenience! We do not make comments at a restaurant so that we can get a discount, but for their benefit. This was most embarassing in front of our guests. It seemed that the restaurant, which came highly recommended, did not properly make provision for a 8-course wine pairing evening. So sorry - but we will not be returning.Dear orpa711, Thank you for taking the time to review us and for informing us of the issues you experienced. We apologise for the inconvenience caused and are deeply disappointed that you received unacceptable service which has been addressed with our team. As you are aware, Ryan has been in contact to discuss the problems. Once again please accept our sincere apology. Kind Regards, The BB Team

This delightful spot is in Mooiplaats, Pretoria, so it does feel like a bit of an escape from city life. Complete with a bit of dirt road to travel on. Us city dwellers need that now and again! The warm and welcoming ambience immediately transported us back to our time spent in the Cape Winelands a week or so ago. Bliss! We arrived just as the doors opened, and I realized soon afterwards that we were probably very lucky to get a table without a reservation, so that is something to remember next time. The wine list is concise, but really impressive and we immediately recognized some personal favourites. The @oakvalleywines Fountain of Youth #sauvignonblanc was the perfect accompaniment to our meal. You can expect country-style comfort food that is absolutely delicious and prepared and presented beautifully. I opted for the wild mushroom risotto and believe me, it was divine! Served with asparagus and chickpea fritters, this was such a tasty and hearty dish. It was a good-sized portion (in my words = large) and I finished all of it! Every last bite.My hubby had the Italia pizza (with added anchovies) and it truely was a feast for the eyes. I didn't taste it, but he thoroughly enjoyed it. Maybe next time!I only realized recently that the legendary Chef Pellie Grobler is at the helm of this restaurant. The quality of the meals speak volumes! Continuing his mission to change Pretoria one meal at a time. Great job!We will definitely be back - I saw quite a few dishes on the menu that I will be dreaming about until then! Oh yes, and that wild mushroom risotto.
