We were staying in a small boutique hotel nearby and found Upper Bloem by walking down the street and "window shopping" for a place to eat. WOW! Were we ever pleased at finding this place. it is a different set menu each night...small plates to share. Don't let this scare you off. It is OK to not order off a menu sometimes and just let the chef feed you!! The food is amazingly good. the wait staff is very professional and knowledgeable about the food they are presenting you. Eat Here. You won't be disappointed.

I loved this place when I first visited it, finding it on my way to the city center, just strolling around and in desperate need of a pit-stop. The ambience, the nice décor, the service and the awesome drinks. This was a few years back, and I have been back a couple of times. In 2019 we popped in for drinks and ended up having a great lunch, something has changed, yet it still has a lovely interior and both drinks and food is lovely, so still up there.

Enjoy delicate finger sandwiches filled with rare roast beef and rocket, smoked salmon, egg mayonnaise or cucumber. Follow with a delectable dark chocolate cake, lemon meringue and freshly baked scones with clotted cream and preserves. Adding a special lo
This has to be one of the most awesome afternoon teas ever! We arrived in Cape Town from London at lunchtime and had pre-booked (and paid for) Afternoon Tea at the Mount Nelson and it was the most perfect start to our holiday imaginable! Our waitress was fantastic and brought along pots of all the variations of teas we had ordered, sandwiches and the most interesting selection of savouries....every one a taste sensation. Follow this with scones with Jam and Cream...and as if that wasn't enough, there was an enormous buffet of sweet treats inside. I'm not mad about cakes and deserts so it would have been a waste to bring along a tray of cakes for our table, but being able to go and choose something was a perfect finish to the tea! We did of course include a glass or two of Cape Fizz to celebrate our arrival.Fantastic value and fantastic service! The only down side was that our pre-payment didn't seem to have been passed to the Head Waiter and while we were due to pay for the addition of Sparkling Wine, it took some time (and trust) for them to let us go back to our hotel and forward the email confirmation we had received from their reservations team. Not an ideal end to our afternoon tea, but nothing bad enough to stop me from recommending this place to everyone who visits Cape Town! I will just take a print of my confirmation next timeDear Margi,Thank you for the great review and it's such a delight to read how much you enjoyed the offering! We do note the feedback on the payment communication, we have investigated and the necessary steps have been taken to avoid on future visits. We do hope you had a great time in Cape Town and looking forward to welcoming you back on the next trip!Best regards,Johann L. BadenhorstFood and Beverage Manager

A South African and Japanese gastronomic hybrid experience by Peter Tempelhoff, Jennifer Whittle & Ashley Moss
This has to be my favourite restaurant Iâve ever been to. From the moment we arrived the team were so attentive. The taster menu is excellent and even better with the paired wines. Everything blended so well together. Brilliant service, great tasting food and wine. Next time Iâm here Iâll be back. Fantastic

PRIMI Camps Bay will satisfy you biggest cravings for pizza, pasta and more. Come enjoy passionate service and good food in generous portions.
This is a lovely italian restaurant. The pizzas are thin based and very tasty. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can eat in or order takeaway if you fancy going out. Beware 'going large' The 'small' portion is sufficient. Or don't have a starter. Recommend to visitor to Camps Bay

Steeped in over 300 years of history, the former guard house, tea room, hotel and the hunting lodge of Lord Charles Somerset has been elegantly restored with the charm and sophistication of the Grand Old Cape. The style of cuisine at The Roundhouse is unc
The Round house has amazing views and great potential.I have eaten there twice, once for lunch and once for breakfast.Lunch was okay although not memorable and umbrellas seem to be scarce.Breakfast was a total disaster. We had a large table as it was a birthday celebration.Once again umbrellas were at a premium so it was hot!The service was absolutely awful, not due to the waiters who were charming but run, literally off their feet as very few seemed to be about and had too many people to attend to.The breakfast was generous and excellent but many at the table got coffee after the meal if at all,and then it was cool.Even tap water was hard to get and knives and forks had to be found at other tables as Did salt and pepper. As it is a tourist attraction I really hope that by next season this restaurant makes a plan.

Charming staff, really service minded. Kingklip fish was good but a little boring in taste needed a bit more flavour. Blue cheese salad needed a higher grade of blue cheese.
