The Alma was recommended by a chef in Atapuerca and it was truly a hit. I had joined an Aussie couple and we had the degustacion menu and it was amazing! We were on the Camino de Santiago and what a treat to have such an awesome dinner! The service and presentation of the plates were outstanding!! I would highly recommend the Alma for a nice dinner with very nice wine!

Food for the senses. Besides the food experience and guided visit to their own art class winery, they can be proud of their excellent service. The menu and your choices: you can have a la carte or let them guide you with, as they call it, âmenu de degustaciónâ (test menu), which includes a variety of carefully chosen combination of authorâs recipes by their chef; and an excellent balance of two different bottles of wine. It has large windows, open space and wonderful views. We look forward to go back.

I have eating in Doña Margarita very many occasions. It is one consistent delicious experience every time, in terms of dishes' excellent flavor, imaginative compositions with local seasonal ingredients, attentive, educated and friendly service as well as the pleasant decoration/atmosphere. I can only imagine two reasons in order to understand the aggressive negative reviews from few individuals about Doña Margarita, which in my experience do not correspond with reality: 1) Reviews are coming from bitter, frustrated people who take the opportunity to vent their unhappiness regardless of the good stuff they have in front of their noses. 2) the other possibility is that they the reviewers have a prior hidden agenda and intend to give negative and untrue comments to specific restaurants and favor a restaurant they are linked to either in personal or professional capacity. Fortunately, I trust the owners and cooks at Doña Margarita are not influenced by those ill-intention comments and instead they will continue providing us with pleasurable eating happiness for a long time.

We called for the âmenu del diaâ â¬16.50, sat downstairs in the cafe part, surrounded my Spanish locals, wonderful atmosphere. The waiter spoke no English, but with our Spanish we managed. He was very attentive, whole meal was a wonderful experience, four courses and it included a full bottle of wine and one of water.I had roast vegetables with Brie, followed by black pudding, then Veal then Lemon mouse.

Enjoy the best selection of vermouth and tapas in town, with care for the quality and presentation of the best raw materials, not to mention our illy coffee and our homemade pies
It was our day off from walking the Camino and we chances upon this gem! I havenât had vermouth in at least 20 years, so I was pleasantly surprised by the on tap vermouth! The tapas were probably the best weâve had so far in Spain ! The pulpo (octopus) was delicious as were the pickled mussels with anchovies and other seafood; the olives and peppers; the tortillas and bocadillos! So much so, that we went back for more vermouth ! I then knew why the siesta is a necessity ! Itâs not a tourist place either as there were many local families there too! Highly recommended!

I've been in Burgos for a week for work traipsing around town to find a place I like and where the food is good. Finally found it on my last evening here! It's got a bit of an alternative independent vibe with good music. Lovely atmosphere with some comfy armchairs by the window, and great down- to- earth friendly staff. The menu looks appetising and doesn't disappoint. Certainly best food I've had in Burgos at reasonable prices. Good for vegetarians too! I'd highly recommend it but not for the overly conventional. You may not like the music.

CLOSED FOR VACATIONS from July 10, 2017 to August 7, 2017 Disponemos de cartas en Ingles y en Aleman
This place is 9kms from central Burgos but well worth the cab fare. But if you speak NO Spanish then maybe it isn't for you. But if you can get by, then make the effort as this is the roast baby lamb that locals eat. â¬30 for morcilla, lamb, salad, a bottle of wine, bread, desert, coffee and a liquor. Delicious just doesn't describe it - so have a look at the pictures.

Important!!! Closed for holidays from August 12 to September 2. Important!!! Important!!! Closed for holidays from August 12 to September 2. Important!!!
Our second time here and again no fault to be found. Quirky decor and beautifully presented food is just the invitation you need to experience the subtle and not-so-subtle flavours of an interesting menu. Starters are consistent with previous visit earlier in the year but the mains were a total change as were the deserts which were a step beyond and as fantastic tasting as they looked. Wish weâd been able to visit again but Christmas got in the way.Thank you very much for your words!!!We take this opportunity to remember that we closed for vacations from January 6 to 14, both included!!!
