Visited today after reviews on here. So pleased we did. The chap was incredibly helpful, using Google translate on his PC for the parts of the menu del dia we didn't understand. For 12 euros we had a seafood pasta and baked cheesy courgettes to start, followed by a mixed grill / chips and veal / mushrooms. Then a biscuit icecream dessert and melon. Accompanied by half litre white wine and sparkling water. All was well presented and really tasty. If we return to Besalu I'd eat here forsure. The chap/owner also then helped us plan our walk around besalu, and gave us a map.We nearly didn't go in, as it looks a bit of a sports bar, but inside is a very tidy, modern, clean restaurant.Highly recommended.

Had lunch here whilst visiting this lovely old town. decided to go for Tapas and was not disappointed it was great well cooked good variety with helpful English speaking staff worth a vist

A very friendly couple own this restaurant. It only has three tables and you pick your dishes from a case in the back of the room. The choices were varied and attractive enough to make you want to order more than you could possibly eat. We had the Paella, which was quite good, and the stuffed squid. The husband spoke several languages, including French, Spanish, English, and Russian. The wife didn't speak English but was very patient with our clunky Spanish and pointing. The prices were moderate and the experience was fantastic and locally genuine. There are many restaurants in Besalu, all packed with tourists. This felt more out of the way and like a breath of reality. We saw a number of people take food to go as well.

We loved our lunch here and were stunned at the outstanding food and service provided. We asked to sit outside and the staff were only to happy to set up a table and chairs for us and they were happy for us to share a set menu between the two of us. The food was divine and I would love to return ... !

A absolutely beautiful restaurant in a small, sleepy town. As a first time visitor, what a surprise when opening the door to the restaurant. What a fabulous lunch!The tables were perfectly appointed, service extremely attentive, food excellent and beautifully presented, large wine list. There were 4 in our party, so each person ordered a different appetizer and different entree so we could see and taste each one. Stunning presentation and delicious!I found the price very reasonable for the quality of the food, service and decor.I had heard of this restaurant listening to a podcast, so we purposely stayed in the area.It was well worth it, in fact I wish we had more time on our vacation so we could have dined there again.
