With all the wonderful places to eat in Bacalar, I definitely do not recommend Papaya Maya. I ordered the chicken toast and received a chicken salad on toast. The chicken appeared canned and was predominantly mayonnaise. I could not eat it and ordered an an avocado toast instead. All the ingredients listed were blended into a soupy concoction and poured over bread. To top it off the juice I ordered had not been strained. I had to chew my carrot juice! I paid for it all, which was fine, but noticed at checkout I was charged 20 pesos for a few tablespoons of almond milk for my coffee. My friend ordered a pork sandwich and was not impressed.Hi, your opinion is very important for us and we are sorry that your experience with us wasn't the best; we are continuously working in ways to improve our service and the quality of our food. Hope we can make it up to you next time.

The beach club is very comfy and relaxing, although a bit outside of the city center it is worth the walk.We tried the beef burger and it was simply delicious! The waiters were very friendly, speaking both spanish and english. Would absolutely recommend it!

Very loud radio and music, outside and in the open kitchen, out of place with the setup of the restaurant. there was no interest shown in pleasing the customer when there was a request to turn the music down or off, and no other customer was there to object. The food was served offhandishly from the kitchen, Lower in quality than previous visits. The waiter was very attentive and sweet, though. that was the best part. of the breakfast experience. We stumbled across this place after a big day of cenote hopping and it was such an absolute delight! It's well priced for what you get, very large burrito portions, and jammed packed with flavour!They've only just started the TripAdvisor account so it's definitely still a hidden gem in the heart of Bacalar. I spent a few days in Bacalar and I went several times to this café. The staff is really nice and they always smile. They truly offer great service. The coffee is good and you can eat nice pastries. The decoration is very colourful and refreshing. Don't miss it :)

Very mordern restaurant. Hidden space, once you walk in you notice how big and nice it is. Great staff, Sandy was nice and helpfull! Food was great :)

Stopped here for a quick lunch on our cycle and was not disappointed. The food was absolutely delicious and our waitress Kim was very attentive. Helped us pick our meals and explained the menu to us. She also went out of her way to give us some information about bacalar and the things we should check out. All in all an amazing experience. Make sure you come here. The ceviche and nachos were outstanding.
