Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Xi'an. Today the walls of the Ming dynasty and the Tang palace walls hint at the Xi’an’s glorious past. Stare in awe at the Terracotta Army, 7,000 terracotta statues of Qin Bingmayong Bowuguan warriors and soldiers. Dating from 210 BCE, they were discovered in 1974 and are still being excavated. Don't miss the Shaanxi History Museum or a chance to heat up at former imperial bathing spot, Huaqing Hot Springs.

This is a dance and music show in which a dumpling dinner is also included.
It is nice to taste the dumping banquet in the theater, another unique experience, before the show. The best part of the show is the catching the bird by the princess, it is so dedicated that you will feel that was the real tomb paintings.

The famous Haidilao provides superb services, they provide charging, and constantly comes to your table to check on how you re doing. You can make a reservation few days before, they will send you a reservation number and you will barely need to wait when you arrive. It is always packed , recommended to order two flavors soup base (yuanyang) one is their spicy one and one is seafood broth. All the meat are fresh, they very thoughtful part is you can order half portion for everything when you don't have a lot of people and want to try more items just check with your server and write 0.5 in the list. Overall it was good food and it s around 100-150Rmb per person depending on how you order and if order alcohol it s gonna be higher

Zen5es-Chinese Restaurant specializing in innovative and traditional Shaanxi and Cantonese signature dishes - prepared and presented with passion and flair. Private rooms are available.
We dined here for dinner on our last evening in Xi'an and we were incredibly disappointed with the service! We ordered our food and thirty minutes later received a dish that we did not order. Through conversations with two different restaurant employees, they took the incorrect dish back to the kitchen and then another twenty minutes passed before the correct dish, the one we ordered, came out to the table. By this time the rice was cold, which took another long conversation and waiting an additional five minutes to receive fresh, hot rice. When we were eventually able to eat our dinner, the food was pretty good. After this long, drawn out negative experience, NO ONE from the restaurant apologized to us or said anything at all, we were not offered a complimentary drink or dessert, etc. This was such a poor experience, I was shocked. Typically, a manager would visit the table, apologize for getting the order confused, waiting additional time for some members of the table to eat, and then offer a drink or dessert or maybe even remove the entree from the bill. We didn't even receive an apology and that just doesn't sit well with me. I travel a lot and eat at many restaurants and this service is poor and completely unacceptable - Westin should not want their name on this establishment, to be perfectly honest. I wouldn't dine here again and I do not think I am in the minority by reading other reviews. The other restaurants at Westin offer a far better experience... take your money and time elsewhere!Dear Jillian701,Greetings from the Westin Xian!We are very sorry for what you have experienced recently in our Five Zen5es restaurant and that our may not have been up to your expectation. Had lunch here in the midst of touring. It was a welcome respite in a great but long day. We started with some steamed dumplings that were so good we ordered a second round. The noodles themselves were absolutely amazing. My first experience with biangbiang noodles and I hope I can find them again back home. I also tried the lemon kumquat juice, which was fantastic. I hope I get to come back to this restaurant some day.

Flavorful, juicy chopped meat tucked in a light toasted bun; it's one of the most delicious cheap eats in Xi'an! It's pretty easy: you enter the restaurant, order your sandwiches (there's an English menu available), wait for them to chop the savory morsels of heaven and stuff them into a light pillowy bun (almost like an English muffin), and then you devour it and potential repeat the process again until you're a satiated sloppy mess.

Solo dinner end-Aug-2019. The restaurant was fairly busy when I arrived just before 8pm on a Sunday evening. The clientele seemed to be all local. I was asked to share a table in the back room with an older lady. While TripAdvisor lists the restaurant as Third Sister Dumpling, the sign outside says âRestaurant of China (Three Sisters). Which is probably why the dumplings were on the last page of the menu!! The menu does have English translations, although these seemed to be hit-and-miss (what pray is the drink âAdd the Stupaâ?!?!?), and some photos.I decided to have what the lady at my table was having, which turned out to be dumplings in a spicy soup. I asked for the shrimp, leeks & egg dumplings (RMB 27). I also asked for the hot drink that was being served to patrons, but was offered warm water instead. I didnât understand the conversation that followed when warm water was poured into my drink bowl, but I think the old lady told the waitress Iâd asked for her drink, and she was confidently told I wouldnât like it because it has garlic in it (I think). I wasnât ok happy about assumptions being made about my tastes, but I let it pass. The dumpling soup was OK - the quantity was great (over 20 dumplings) and for RMB 27, it was really good value. However, I thought they tasted just average. Maybe I just like my dumplings to have thin skins, while these were of a thicker skin variety.I paid with cash at the counter by the entrance. Overall, it was an OK experience. I wouldnât go out of my way to eat here, but if youâre in the neighbourhood & want a good-value tried-and-tested option, this is one.

Service was exceptionally good here. Much better than the branches in Beijing and Singapore. Price was reasonable too and soup was really good.
Service was not very good. Only the 'Captain' of the place tried very hard to accomodate us, the rest of the staff had that 'can't be bothered' attitude! We requested for a small plate of soy sauce, and that took 20 minutes, and it came after we asked the 'captain'. Food wise, was ok, it would have been more enjoyable if the waitresses put on a smile. The smiles only came after I showed my GC card when asking for my bill.So remember folks, if you want good service from this place, show your GC card first!!!
Bring it even closer to home, look no further than FU. This trendy hotpot restaurant, adorned with chic interiors, will serve up the freshest produce, meats and seafood from the region.
There's no doubt that this restaurant is fantastic. The hot pot was delicious, the best I have ever eaten before. The quality of the seafood was also suberb. The staff are knowledgeable about the products and ingredients and provided some really good tips on how best to eat the hot pot. It was staff member Tracy that really went above and beyond to give me the best experience possible here. She was so helpful and provided really professional and 5 star service.I'd highly recommend this restaurant.Iâm really happy that you enjoy your time in Fu, and Thanks for your high comment. We will keep working hard and hope you will come back again.Best wishes.

Should you prefer a taste for Cantonese fine dining, Yen Chinese restaurant will be a must-try many times over.
The environment is good, quiet and comfortable, the overall decoration is also very feeling. The ingredients are fresh and taste very good. My Japanese colleague always boasts that there are a lot of people for lunch, so I suggest you make a reservation in advance. This set meal has a large quantity. To be honest, it is better for three people if two people are too full to finish it.
