Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Vancouver. Canada's largest metropolis, Vancouver is a city of varied landscapes and diverse population. Its mix of the scenic and urban mean that weekenders can spend the morning taking advantage of its beaches, ski mountains, and hiking trails, only to kick back in the evening at first-rate restaurants and wine bars among a labyrinth of skyscrapers. As friendly and welcoming as it is ethnically diverse, the streets are crowded with different languages being spoken everywhere, and the city's sights, sounds, and flavors are a hodgepodge of warm multiculturalism. It is a haven both for the urbanite and the sportsman, offering all the sophistication of a modern city center, with a strong focus on the arts and a burgeoning cafe culture, but with charming suburban outlets and easy outdoor day trips. Though the city is often split into three districts, Vancouver and its surrounding environs feature multiple neighbourhoods, each with their own character and draw, in one massive conglomeration. Take your time and explore as many of them as possible.

In the heart of Chinatown an historic storefront conceals the secrets of Sai Woo. Our award winning Asian-Inspired cuisine is carefully curated by Chef Issac Ko's with local, fresh ingredients and surprising, lighthearted twists. Cocktails are crafted wit
On our second night in Vancouver we chose Sai Woo Chop Suey for dinner. Very cool decor with a nice cocktail menu and decent beer selection. Our waiter helped us choose our meals. The Vietnamese spring rolls are VERY unique. Really crunchy with a great filling. We had the Chungqoig ribs and duck with fried rice as entrees, as suggested by our waiter. The dishes meshed very well for sharing with complementary sauces and textures. One caveat, which has nothing to do with the restaurant, if you take public transportation DO NOT TAKE THE BUS TO CARRAL & E HASTINGS! Google will direct you to this bus stop because it is closest, but it drops you off in front of a social services building whose "clientele" appeared to be hard drug users. I have definitely been in bad areas growing up in NYC, and this was without a doubt one of the worst situations I've found myself in. Be smart and go one stop more.Thank you for your feedback. I am sure other travellers will appreciate to know to g one stop further if taking the bus as Hastings Street can be unpleasant to walk through. Glad you enjoyed your meal i appreciate your review :)Salli

You canât book a table but we queued in the rain for opening time and were pleased that we did. The food was excellent and we accepted recommendations from the friendly and helpful servers. A good atmosphere, lively but with enough privacy for each table. All in all, we had a great night, but ended up spending more than we intended - C$240 for two

Our family of four (two teenage sons) loved this tiny little restaurant where they make the noodles fresh for your soup. The dim-sum and pork dumplings were to die for! We highly recommend eating here. Tiny, local, and affordable.
