So so food. Too many pieces of broccoli with my chicken. Bathroom water wouldnât work in the womenâs bathroom. I hate those automatic sinks.

I can't forget Cravings from my university days! This is back in 2008-2009. It served excellent food. This restaurant was busy most of the time, almost everyone's favorite. For me, I like General chicken and Fish the best I had ever had in those days! Nobody really cared about he ambiance, but it was a decent place crammed with lots of benches and we loved it. I almost looked forward to go to this place for my meals. I'm sure the quality is maintained. Whenever I visit Champaign / homecoming, this one's gonna be on my to-do list!
My husband and I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened. The food is plentiful and delicious. Prices are reasonable and it's conveniently located.
In Champaign-Urbana, this place has one of the best Pad Kee Mao's in town. Get it slightly spicy and pick beef if you're a carnivore. This is the best dish in this place. The ambience is not great. But it's enough to go and eat there. Definitely would not come here for a special date or something. It's fairly clean and tidy. You order and pay in advance; then wait for the food to come out. They give you free water and that's enough for me when I eat Asian food. The portion is decent. Expect to pay around $8 for this dish. They do offer delivery for a $2 charge. There is free parking. Do not eat the Vietnamese Fo noodle soup dishes here.

I don't know why people are hating on this place. Maybe I just come at a good time? Usually Friday for lunch is perfect and food is quite fresh. The string beans were very green and crisp tender. They do offer a couple traditional dishes along with the Americanized ones.Best bites - dry string beans (kept filling my plate with them), marinated mushrooms, crab rangoons, chinese doughnuts, tiramisu, chocolate puddingDef recommend if you want great value and good food :)
Our love of Chinese food has us chasing it all over Illinois and First Wok is the best Chinese food in Champaign/Urbana. It's a small place with only a few tables and does mostly carry out business. The vegetables are always fresh and the meat is high quaility. Tired of half-breaded pieces of fatty or gristly chicken in your General's chicken? This place has huge pieces of crisply breaded chicken and the sauce is good (but not the best sauce in town). For portion size and freshness (of everything, veggies, meat, rice) you will not find better in central Illinois.

There's a reason other Chinese fast food outlets are expanding in town, while Hot Wok isn't: The food. It tends toward greasy and sugary. It's also inconsistent: one day the hot & sour soup is fine, the next it tastes watered down. I've repeatedly asked for brown rice, but they refuse to offer it, saying it's too expensive, etc. Baloney. If they can make shrimp fried rice, they can make plain brown rice. Finally, they offer no non-carb side option (as Panda does). So I typically end up throwing away half the lunch because I can't eat 2 pounds of noodles or rice. Some plain steamed veggies instead, please! I'm eager for the new competitor to open down the street so I can start going there instead.

Rainbow Chinese Restaurant is a nice surprise. It is located in a non descript small strip center.Upon entering you will quickly notice how clean the lobby and the dining room are maintained. Not the usual experience here the carpet is clean, tables well cleaned and the dining room is tastefully decorated with charming Chinese art and figurines. Not at all what you can experience at other locations.Till 2:30 the lunch special includes your choice of soup, choice of rice and a spring roll. Had the Princess Chicken which is well prepared and spicy. The veggies are all fresh. The lunch specials are less than $7 unless you prefer shrimp. The menu is well planned and arranged for better ordering. The servers are nice, friendly and attentive. We highly recommend this as a choice.

Some Chinese restaurants are so Americanized, it feels like their claims to Asian cuisine are meant to be taken ironically. But that's not the case at Golden Harbor. Everything about the restaurant, from the décor to the food found on the hand-written men
Don't expect to be served. You write down your order, take it to the counter, get your own drinks and silverware. They bring you the food. Food was ok, have had better. Portions are large, but pricey for the lack of service. Food was hot and fresh, but under seasoned. Also, atmosphere was lacking and slightly run down.
