Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Trujillo. Trujillo is a lively intersection of ancient culture and modern arts. See ancient ruins at the Chan Chan archaeological site and be awed by the Moche Huaca del Sol y la Luna (temples of the sun and moon.). The multicolored Tunnel of Wishes on the Paseo de Aguas is a fabulous place for people-watching. Locally brewed corn beer is worth a try. If you’re a nightlife lover, pace yourself—bars and clubs get going late, and then go all night.

Best chifa in Trujillo! The wontons are not to be missed! The service was good, but easier with some spanish as the menu is huge, so it helps to be able to ask for recommendations.

This restaurant in Trujillo, Peru, features a selection of lunch menus that are very tasty and filling (huge portions!) for approximately $5 U.S., not including beverage or tip (which most local people don't seem to leave anyway). The restaurant is very large and clean and the servers are friendly. There is a "diorama" near the back with a soothing Chinese mountain scene, including a little pool with live goldfish. We had WonTon soup - a big serving, with wontons, vegetables, noodles and pieces of chicken breast. Then, one of us had vegetables with noodles and the other had chicken (yes, more chicken - the Peruvians seem to love chicken!) with vegetables and white rice. There was more food than we could finish! A good lunch that could easily have been the main meal of the day.

A basic chifa, you sit in separate rooms so it's good to go with a larger group if you want to have a discussion. The food is quite basic, vegetables nice and crispy, nothing spectacular, nor very expensive.
