I've been getting Chinese takeaways, & fish n chips, from Yummy for ages - always delicious food, and generous portions at great value prices (which are cheaper than other nearby similar places IMO). The fish are massive, and lovely and flaky in crispy batter. And I find that the special chowmein (in sauce) & char siu pork chowmein (in sauce) dishes are great, my regular go-to order there. I'd highly recommend this place!

Me and my wife were so looking forward to our first visit to Ho Hos in Mossley. We remember the excellent food and service of Ho Hos in Lees and thought our prior experience would be replicated at Mossley. Unfortunately we were to be very disappointed.On arrival and confirming our booking we were informed that no one of our name was booked in although we could be accommodated. 20 minutes to receive our drinks and surprise from the young man who collected our empty glasses and took another order 40 minutes after we had arrived with no sign of our starter.This was remedied, however it was 1 hour 40 minutes since arrival until we were served our main course despite asking when we would receive our main meal.Another couple sat next to us and arrived later had finished their starter and main meal prior to us having been served our starter!The food was good but the service needs to improve.When we arrived it was fairly quite and within the hour very busy, however there appeared more than enough staff to manage the covers.It is a shame that our experience has been so disappointing as we loved the place and the food.

What a great place to hold a party!We organised a family birthday party in the smaller of the two function rooms.It was ideal with lovely tables with cloths and very comfy chairs. The room had its own bar and dance floor and was set out really wellWe were able to go in in the afternoon to decorate the room and found it spotlessly clean and ready for usWe had a Chinese and English food buffet. The hot food was piping hot and everything was so fresh, tasty and beautifully presented.Pik Ling advised us what to have and there was plenty for everyone. The feedback from the guests was excellent saying it was the best buffet they had had in ages!The staff were very attentive and made it a really pleasant evening.I have no hesitation in recommending the Phoenix City for any special occasion.Thank you Pik Ling and Barry
