Don't expect the most fantastic Chinese food you will ever have, but the restaurant does deliver a pleasant meal. There are some more interesting items as well as the more expected stuff. We arrived for a late lunch when the place was quiet and mostly empty but were still looked after. Hard to say what the atmosphere is like when the place is crowded and noisy but in the more lull period the restaurant offered very comfortable and even intimate dining. The eggplant szechuan .was particularly good though it could have gone a few notches up in terms of spiciness. Overall, there is a clear reason why the restaurant has persisted for such a long period.

Fast and friendly service, everything we ordered was good, very large portions (particularly the rice). The prices were reasonable.

Tried two times! First time think one week after their of Grand Opening get this, date October 17, 2017! Get this, October 17, 2017! Yes we of the Bay Area know that date, not very pleasant thoughts, the World Series Earthquake in 1989!First time, they try force me buy drink! Finally one lady employee after five minute, maybe she a manager (?) say, "What is the problem! If they want water, just give them the water!" I get seated, takes another ten minutes before they give me very big cup water! All the food so very salty! As Medical Stroke survivor, I instantly tasted all the salt! Then what, a Japanese/Chinese/Korean food place, there pizza at one the food bins, what??? The place where one puts items in big bowl, it shrinks when the cook, the gentleman say no to the one sauce, (he is diabetic)! That should not of be problem, am I right? They put very big amount of that sauce in his bowl! Now I understand is walking distance of the of a hospital! Better not get blood pressure checked, it will have very high reading with all that salty food!Second time, want giving Benefitting Of The Doubt! Again cannot get pass cashier, they try force me buy drink! I will never again come back! If customer not wants drink, that their prerogative! Sodas has the bubbly stuff, may make me queasy, not think the House Keeping wants clean that and neither should she have to!
Called in a takeout order for ten people and upon pickup, they boxed up the order and very kindly carried it out to my car.Everything was delicious from the General Chicken to the Kung Pao Prawns to Beef Broccoli - yummy! If you're looking for a good meal with plentiful portions served with a smile, you've found the right place.Thank you China Gourmet!

A knowledgeable business associate suggested Yue Huang, and as he has quite a bit of experience with China, I figured that would be a good suggestion. They offer a menu that looked pretty extensive. But we opted for the dim sum carts. The serving staff pushes them around and around, stacked with baskets of various dumplings, vegetables, etc. Pick out a basket you like and the server marks your bill. A great way to eat! And both delicious and quick. Plus the prices are quite reasonable - the 2 of us were quite full for $31, including tea. It's a very attractive location too. It's fairly high-end compared to much Chinese restaurants.2 enthusiastic thumbs up!

We have a winner! In an era where too few Chinese restaurants actually have Chinese cooks, this place stands out. The portions are enormous - scary enormous. The pork appetizer was at least a pound of BBQ pork! Sure the place is in a crummy part of town, frequented by losers of all sorts, but these enterprising folks are serving up a Hole in the Wall style meal. Nothing fancy, but the food is honest and rich, and the service concerned, helpful, and earnest. If you like Chinese, go to this restaurant!
