It's not a bad place, but it's not great either. Compared to other options available in the area it's not one I'd recommend. The best part was the hibachi grill, but even then the chef only cooked 1 person's food at a time on a big grill. Staff is friendly, but you had to "hunt them down" and they were quick to bring the bill before we were finished eating.

I had the Chicken Lo Mein daily combo special for $7.35. You get a small amount ofLo Mein, a small fried rice, an egg roll and a crab rangoon. I also had a small egg drop soup. It was a $1.88. It was a good size and had a good flavor. It was tasty on a cold night. The other food was good (not great) but I wish the quantity was larger. Most Chinese restaurants give bigger amounts of food. For a similar price, the nearby Jeong's provides more Lo Mein. I probably should have ordered just Lo Mein to get a full size order. The place is designed for take out but it is comfy and very clean inside.
I ate here with coworkers decently and found it to be pretty bad. My Pad Thai had a strange flavor and an awful texture to the noodles. The egg rolls and crab rangoon were tasty, however.
Let me start by telling you, we have been to this restaurant several times, Shirley the owner is also your waitress. After you visit one time, she always remembers you and treats you so special. The food here is so good and you get so much food for your money. It's a small place and if you didn't know it was there you would miss it, but believe me it's worth finding.
Where to eat American food in Raytown: The Best Restaurants and Bars
This is where we go when we donât feel like cooking or when we want a relatively inexpensive and quick evening meal that also often gives us enough for work day lunch leftovers. This small restaurant is in a strip mall anchored by a Hy-Vee grocery store, and seems popular with a diverse clientele. But it also seems like the vast majority of their orders are carryout, and not many people actually eat in the restaurant. That might be in part because, while the food is tasty, the place really needs some updating. Over the counter where you order, thereâs photos of some of the dishes, but theyâre so faded the pictures are no longer in color. Thereâs a couple of very large Asian landscapes framed on the walls, but theyâve also lost most of their color. The walls are peach-ish, and the laminate tables are pink. But none of that affects the food, which Iâd highly recommend. Our go-to dishes are Beef & Mushrooms for my wife, and Triple Szechuan for me (but Iâve learned I like the special version on the wall with pork and shrimp-fried rice over the menu version with beef and white rice, and I have to order accordingly). We also like their Egg Drop Soup, which is much better than the version they sell at the Asian food counter in Hy-Vee.

If you enjoy good Chinese food with great service at a very reasonable price, then Ma Ma China is the place! Everyone is super nice, and they seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs and working...the food is fresh and hot with large portions, the flavor is outstanding...they do cater to the average American taste and use minimum spices...if you are a big eater they have a Sunday buffet that is large and a great bargain! The location, building, and décor are average and nothing special, but when it comes to the food, service, and price they really stand out!
