This restaurant is located in a small strip center on Scioto Trail in Portsmouth, Ohio. Easily missed, but well worth the stop. Large menu, large servings,fast service, clean, friendly atmosphere. You'll be lucky to finish your meal, so ask & they will give you chop sticks to take home with you..

After visiting a flea market nearby, we decided to have quick lunch in Portsmouth. Their lunch buffet price is $6.75, which is acceptable, but the food was quite disappointing. Most of their food were salty. There were not enough vegetables served, so I had to eat lots of broccoli. Their taste was totally Americanized. The only food item we both liked was chicken on the stick (freshly made ones only). As to service, the waitress did not smile, but did get things done.

Jade East is not only the best Chinese restaurant in the region, it's also overall one of the best restaurants in Scioto County. No buffet food here; everything is prepared fresh and delicious! Everything on the menu tastes superb, but my favorites are the outstanding egg rolls, the roast pork cashew ding, and the mu shu pork. Killer!
