Things to do in Philipsburg
While on a cruise, many crew members of the ship talked about going ashore in St. Martin and eating at this restaurant. Most of them didn't know the name of the place, they just knew how to get there and said the taxi drivers all knew about it. So off we went, took a while to find it as it is upstairs down a little side alley off the main street. The place is quite small and definitely not fancy but the food was good and reasonable priced considering it was in St. Martin. While the food was not as good as the food on our ship (Celebrity Equinox) it is unlikely any restaurant on the island would be as good! It was typical Chinese restaurant food. In some ways a nice treat from the haute cuisine ship food.Would I go back again? Sure, if I was on shore and getting hungry. I wouldn't make a special trip to go there though.Facilities (washrooms) were not too good but passable.

After being on a cruise ship for 6 days, we decided to have some Chinese food while on Front Street in Phillipsburg, VI. This place is located on the roof of the building with a separate Indian restaurant. We ordered some typical American type Chinese food....sesame chicken and pepper beef steak with fried rice. The restaurant was fairly clean when compared to other places in the VI. Service was average. Interesting to look out at the other buildings and yards in the area...which are trashed! The pepper steak was very good...the chicken was average at best. Fried rice is just white rice fried in oil with soy sauce added. It was piping hot. The 2 of us ate with tip for like $28 bucks with cokes. They do have AC! Which is also a plus.....they also have a bar. We would eat there again if we return to the VI.

We ordered egg rolls, plantain and pork chow mien. All but the plantain was the best I've had. Service was great too, attentive, but not awkward.

This place is a hidden gem and from the outside it actually looks like a prison which is unfortunate, but inside the decor is really nice and the food is terrific. The look is that of trying to mimic imperial China. The service is really good and fast and both me and my friend enjoyed our time here eating lunch before running back to the ship before al l the guests came back. Excellent food, so give it a try. Enjoy!

This was recommended to me by a friend that travels to St. Maarten often and he was spot on. All of the food as fantastic. The spring roll lols were perf t as was the onion round. We had three different fried rice offerings, which were all great. They were pork fried rice, chicken fried rice and shrimp fried rice. Be couple had egg foo young which they shared. It as light and fluffy and they said the best they have ever had. I had a spicy chicken dish, which as delicious and spicy the I like it. The food was reasonably priced and the portions huge. Crystal as our sever and she was great. There is not a lot of ambiance, but the location with view of the beach was perfect. Go here for great Asian food, you will not be disappointed.
