Born and bred in EB, this was my regular noodle joint for Pad Thai when I was a kid.Being away from town, I have been itching to go back.Since my last visit, it is no longer a small noodle bar but a big noodle restaurant with another branch somewhere in town.Without further ado, the pad thai is a must and I also ordered the Mixed Vegetable chow mein as I have never tried their chow mein. For the pad thai, there are two versions, a vegetarian one and a non veg one which contains fish sauce. The vegetable pad thai tasted just as good as before but slightly different to the prawn pad thai as it was my first time having the vegetarian one.As for the mixed vegetable chow mein, the taste was fantastic. Each strand was uniformly flavoured and covered in sauce complimented by the crunchy vegetables. Will definitely be back for other noodles and the price tag is definitely affordable.Tap water is available and self service.

My wife and I have eaten here many times and took some friends there on Saturday , 1st June, even though we told them it was superb they were still amazed at the high quality of every course and the brilliant service. Hoisum may be slightly more expensive but it is worth every penny. Without doubt this is our favourite in the Eastbourne area and the food is exceptional.

It was a baby shower for my friend who was 9 months pregnant. I had a few other friends round and we were all looking forward to a great night. Mum to be fancied a Chinese, and so I ordered a meal from Happy Dragon. The order cost £51.30, and we expected it in roughly 45 minutes. (To allow for cooking time and delivery) It arrived just 20 !minutes later. The journey time from Happy Dragon to my home is 10 -12 minutes leaving only 10 minutes cooking time for £51 pounds worth of food!!!I called the Happy Dragon and spoke to the manager who was really rude and unpleasant. I asked if all the food had been microwaved as opposed to cooked from fresh?? She answered by saying 'maybe we should of left Your food just sitting on the counter for 30 minutes!!' My pregnant friend was really upset- imagine being in labour with a dodgy tummy?!The manager refunded the money, the microwaved food was collected- probably sold on and we got Pizza! Never again Happy Dragon, until you change hands and start cooking from fresh!
