There are many different ways to interpret what good Chinese food vs. what bad Chinese food is.For this establishment it is ALL bad.Seeing fresh meat in storage containers outside of required refrigeration while ferrel cats indulge, then to be used for human consumption is beyond my choice of delicacy. The majority of the food is fried without any alternative cooking options. The crab rangoon is sweet, not savory. The language barrier makes it difficult to order and they are carryout only.

We've tried this place twice. We just don't like the food. The people are friendly when ordering and picking up, but that doesn't matter when the food isn't good. The Kung Pao and General Tso kinda taste the same... bland, mostly. The beef with orange peel was probably the worst one we recently tried. Beef slices were large and heavily breaded and soggy. They precook the breaded chicken. It sits in large clear tubs at room temperate by the wok..... hopefully this method is heath department approved. You can see it, if you look into the kitchen when you pay. My mother in law tried the curry and she also found that the sauce didn't have much flavor. Basically, no one has ever liked the food.

The food is pretty average, but 1 of only 2 Chinese food restaurants in Eureka (do not go to the other one...). Service is always friendly and food is consistently average (no bad experiences). Very strange atmosphere at China Wok, but we go to there whenever we're too lazy to travel closer to St Louis. Not great, but not bad - portions are always good.
