I've eaten at Fans numerous times, many ocassions out of sheer desparation due to a limited amount of time to get lunch from somewhere close to my job. Many of the lunch specials are bland, uninteresting dishes featuring the same vegetables and sauce. Fans is the only place I've ever had non-spicy, bland kung pao chicken and kung pao shrimp that I had to add chili paste to in order to add taste and a bit of heat. It's also the place I've had incredible asparagus shrimp, orange chicken, sesame chicken, and hot and sour soup. Sadly, what was wonderful once may not be great the next time. Food quality suffers from inconsistency, resulting in average Chinese cuisine at best. The only constant I've found is the friendly restaurant staff.

Great Sushi, excellent service
Went for a sushi lunch again the other day and thoroughly enjoyed it. Generous and delicious portions and friendly service. I've also tried their Thai dishes which were excellent. It is somewhat tricky to find, but no big deal. There is a nice ambiance, and a large outdoor seating area. Highly recommended.

So many good things to eat. Clean/casual atmosphere. We had several dishes and shared--beef and broccoli, shrimp in lobster sauce, sesame chicken, egg rolls, hot and sour soup and egg drop soup. Reasonable prices, lots of vegetarian options as well as some authentic dishes. If we lived in the area, this would definitely be our go-to Chinese spot.

We went to Yurihana in Gunbarrel for the first time last night. Reading online that they had Vietnamese egg rolls with fish sauce for dipping and craft beers we were excited to give it a try. The egg rolls were worth the trip but everything else missed the mark. True Vietnamese egg rolls, crispy with pork bean threads, pork and garlic were top notch. We also had the udon noodle lomein, soggy and unappealing. Our 2nd entrée was sesame beef and chicken which was over breaded and swimming in sauce which was good tasting but overwhelmed everything. As for the craft beers, fat tire was the only thing even close. With all of the breweries down the street here it's a shame that couldn't have a better selection. Next time it's be Vietnamese egg rolls to go.
