Mann Hann today is very different from 2015. With hefty price increase, service is bad with rudeness. But there are still a crowd on special holidays. Diners who wanted to have plenty of watery soup this is the place to go. Lumpia or Chinese burritos is okay. Their cold taho or semi soft tofu is nice. But for the other dishes, I go to other restaurants.

You will only notice this humble eatery through the many cars parked in front of it. It got us curious so we tried it and keep on returning since. We only ordered the beef wonton noodles. It's broth is unforgettable plus the noodles and wonton. It's so affordable for Php170.00 with big servings that is more than enough for a single person.
Delicious xiao long bao and many more delightful Chinese dishes! We ordered the signature and original xiao long bao, steamed bun, pork noodle soup, crispy chicken, shanghai fried rice and got dessert, the charcoal lava custard cake and the ginger soup with sesame balls. This is now my favourite Chinese restaurant in Manila! I highly recommend!!

We had dinner here and everything was delicious. The prawn salad served with steamed broccoli was delicious - prawns were juicy, broccoli bright green and still crisp, its clean taste offering a perfect balance to the richness of the dressing. The Xiao Long Bao was juicy, with perfect proportions. It was assembled expertly and did not break off. It stayed plump and tasty even up until the end of our meal when we finished it off. Runaway hit of the night was the Three Cup Chicken. Albeit a bit salty (which you should offset with plain rice ;)), it offered bite size pieces of chicken in a sweet-salty-and-a hint of sour sauce. It came on a hot plate with large pieces of roasted garlic, which lent a creamy, smoky sweetness to the dish, and slivers of red pepper.Service is quick and friendly, and the servers were knowledgeable about their products. Worth a second visit to try the many other dishes, and perhaps some of their signature drinks.

I celebrated my birthday here because I have to consider my father, sister & niece who are vegans but since most of us were meat eaters and I love Korean food so Tong Yang was the best restaurant that i could think of which is suitable to our needs. We really enjoyed cooking, grilling and eating. Its a bonding day for us. My vegan family members enjoyed their shabu shabu so much. They had lots of different kinds of vegetables plus tofu. They even grilled their veggies. My family members who are meat eaters enjoyed grilling because there's a wide variety of meat and seafoods to choose from. They also had cooked dishes like shrimp & crabs plus japanese food. My husband & foreigner brother in law enjoyed the unli san mig beer. The buffet was really worth it for the price of 499 pesos.

if you feel hungry after a day of shopping in the Greenhills arcade, you can head down to this restaurant which has been in the same place for a long time already. Food and service are ok. We started with some dumplings and a bowl of corn soup. For main course, we had the fried chicken and the yang chow fried rice.

For the price range, there was nothing spectacular about the food. It was moderately good quality for moderately pricey fare. The laksa was good, but the halibut soup was somewhat underwhelming. The pork buns were very good. What will kill this place is the slow pace of the food service. Our orders took about 15 minutes to start trickling in... and it trickled in at a very annoyingly slow pace made worse by a very bizarre sequence. Rice dishes came last, and most of the ala cart viands came first, with a sudden surprise arrival of a chicken dish and a side dish at the very end. The last dish arrived about 40 minutes after the first dish. We were a party of 15... but the place was empty on a Saturday night. A bad sign for this restaurant when other establishments around it (this was a mall branch) were packed. An otherwise decent if unspectacular meal, marred by extremely slow service. Perhaps the chef was sick on that day, who knows? The bottom line: there are much better experiences for this price range--we averaged â±900 per head.

Dinner here on my most recent visit to Manila. It is clear to me that this place pretty much lives on past reputation. Service was nearly abysmal on our dinner for 8. The items we ordered came out in haphazard, uneven fashion. We ordered a pricey bottle red wine, but it arrived almost towards dessert. Really? Wine needs to be delivered/opened in minutes. Service managers never checked on us. I travel to Manila for work several times a year and used to really like ShangRila Ortigas, however experiences such as this simply reinforces why I do not stay at Shang anymore. Actually, the waiters NEVER asked us about what anyone in our party would like to have as a beverage.I write this review as someone who has stayed at EDSA Shang many times.Price wise, the restaurant is relatively cheap given the exchange rate. There are just other Chinese restaurants in the area that can deliver food just as good, with better service...if you are out for an upscale experience.Dear IT-Expert,Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Please know that we are always committed to providing the finest service and facilities to our guests who hopefully will leave with many fond memories, however, it is evident that we have fallen short of the expectation that we have set for ourselves and you are certainly entitled to expect. Chefs take centre stage at HEATâs open theatre kitchens. Enjoy a vast selection of culinary specialties cooked a la minute for an engaging restaurant experience in a resort-like environment. Location is within the Edsa Shangri-La at the Lobby Level, Tower
Came by for Sunday ala carte brunch before the lunch buffet started. We've dined at HEAT at this time several times this year, as this was a convenient location for seniors who we are with. Even after repeated reiterations of our preferred seating by the entrance, the female hostesses kept on insisting us on different seats that were either far off from the entrance and near the buffet serving area (even if we're having ala carte), or an area also near the entrance, but was darker and colder. We understand the seats that we preferred were allocated for buffet diners, but a little consideration could have been better as we arrived an hour and a half before the lunch buffet schedule, had seniors and a child with us. A senior member of the waiting staff even nodded in approval when we were selecting our preferred seats, but somehow these hostesses wouldn't bulge. We eventually got seated to our preference when a male waiter who recognized my companions finally took care of us. As we finished our meals, I noticed that the restaurant was no where near full and it wouldn't have made a difference if those waitresses had just seated us where we wanted to in the first place.I also encountered another waitress who'm I've given instructions to in verifying our order, who I saw just casually walk away afterwards and I later saw started to assist another diner and never came back. Prior to this, the waiters who initially assisted me were mostly unfamiliar with the ala carte menu. There were at least a couple of instances when the waitresses just chatted between each other before punching our orders onto the system, which just defeated the purpose of us arriving early and trying to order in advance.Another mix up happened with our orders, where one of the waiters assumed that our "Japanese bento" was being ordered from the Japanese restaurant upstairs, when the order was meant to be the "Japanse bento" breakfast set found on their ala carte menu. Most of the food, while tasted and prepared mostly authentic, somehow tastes flat and unremarkable towards the end.Strolled around the buffet area as they began to open, and didn't think the selection was worth it for their Sunday lunch price tab. While I do agree with a recent review that most waiters here are entitled (reading that recent review only sparked up my mind to write this now), they were still a few of them (mostly in white and denim) who are attentive and took their job seriously. These guys did good to compensate as we finally got settled in, after the terrible experience upon arrival. The waiting staff looked a little understaffed. For a restaurant at a "5 star hotel" with the kind of service I described, certainly unacceptable.Dear Disso,Thank you for taking the time to share your review. Please accept our sincerest apologies. At Edsa Shangri-La, Manila, we pride ourselves in offering the highest levels of care and hospitality to all our guests, however, it is evident that we have fallen short of the expectation that we have set for ourselves and you are certainly entitled to expect. Please be assured that your experience during this time has been discussed with our operations team so we may review and ensure to improve on. Once again, thank you and we hope you will allow us the opportunity to redeem ourselves by welcoming you back to our hotel.Yours sincerely,Lionel KDirector of Food & Beverage

We eat here regularly and have never been disappointed. Fast service, generous portions, reasonable prices, and excellent food all around. It's our go-to-place. We've been to Din Tai Fung in Taipei and can say that this branch in SM Megamall, Metro Manila, can do its parent proud.
