Ho Jiak Strathfield is a modern take on the open-air hawkers of Northern Penang. Think Char Koay Teow overflowing with moreish stir-fried rice noodles, doused in delicious seafood and spicy Chinese sausage, and topped with market fresh king prawns. Or Nas
We came here for an early lunch on a weekday so there wasnât a problem getting a table just outside HoJiak. We had their Char Kway Teow, Har Mee, Laksa Chee Chong Fun, Chicken Laksa and Chicken Wings. They were all very authentic and delicious. I highly recommend the Laksa, Har Mee and Char Kway Teow. One of the best Iâve had in Sydney and even better than many places in Malaysia. The Chee Cheung Fun tasted a bit starchy and the chicken wings needed a bit more spice otherwise it tasted like normal fried chicken wings. I would definitely come back for their noodles and next time Iâll also try their nasi lemak and Mee goreng. Hi there, glad to hear that you loved our dishes! We definitely recommend coming by early on weekdays so you don't have to try to get a seat during the peak lunch hour! Hope to see you soon again!
8 Dragons specialise in the fresh, authentic tastes of China. Be tempted by the Shanghai-style dishes made from only the finest ingredients. No Shanghai menu is complete without the mention of the scrumptious Shanghai Xiao Long Bao (steamed pork mini buns
Could not fault the meal for the price, had a great feed of Chinese cuisine and convenience of parking in the club carpark
The last 2 visits we have been there they have provided us with incorrect orders to at least 1 of the meals, waiting to pay has taken almost as long as it did to prepare the orders and almost walked out without paying as I was frustrated with that wait! We have been regulars there for many years but now in the last 6 months the service and quality of meals has declined!

I saw this place from the train and decided to get off the train and explore as I'd never experienced Uygher cuisine before. Essentially it's halfway between Chinese and Turkish cuisine and totally delicious. The place is very understated but the service was very friendly and effecient and the food was incredible - freshly cooked and very tasty.

Kung Fu Kitchen is a true local gem in Lidcombe, running by a team who passionate with traditional Chinese flavour with modern presentation. Modern decoration with an open inviting atmosphere, open kitchen where you can see how your food is being prepared
The Kung fu cooked noodles was the best of the lot. Not sure what it is but it tastes that much better than your average noodles, recommend this dish The pork dish for me has too much fatty meat in it but did like the lotus root was a plus The cold noodles was standard stuff The Vietnamese cold chicken was tough to eat,in terms of tough to eat the skin off the chicken at times and plenty of small bones to reduce the enjoyment of this dish Food came out fast Prices are a little more than expected The plus with this place is there isn't a problem with car parking and car parking is free! With Kmart and woollies open also,it's s nice option for a quiet dinner
