My family was very disappointed in the food here. I read some good reviews so we decided to try this restaurant, but it honestly was a waste of money. The fried rice tasted just like plain white rice, no flavor or seasoning whatsoever. It looks light brown and has bean sprouts in it, but no flavor at all. My husband ordered the almond boneless chicken. It was a couple strips of breaded chicken with huge chunks of raw onion and carrots, and no sauce or gravy of any kind. I've never had almond chicken without gravy anywhere before, we surely didn't expect it to be completely dry, and mixed with raw vegetables. I ordered the sesame chicken, which I guess I'd have to say was the best thing out of everything we ordered. The flavor was actually good, even though it had very little sauce and most of the chicken was too chewy to eat. The eggrolls were very plain and the only flavor they had was of a strange, odd tasting spice that was very unlikable. It's too bad the food wasn't good, because the service was fast and friendly. But that's just not enough to get me to come back and spend money on food my family can't eat... Very disappointed.

We went here based on the reviews. It is an old "Big Boy " restaurant. The decor is chinese and pleasant. service was fast and friendly. Prices are $10-$14. portion size is about average not large though. The flavor was decent but not wow. Tea comes with the meal. There is a $1.50 charge if you want to split a meal. I would not rate this restaurant a "great"...or "awesome"....but it is about average for a chinese restaurant. I did not see any carry out service being done while we were there. When I see a lot of carry out orders it usually means the food is pretty good.

This is the best chinese food you will ever find anywhere. It is a family owned and operated business, and they treat everyone like family. Everything is made fresh to order. The flavor of the food is exceptional, and I compare every other chinese restaurant to Dragon Phoenix, and no other even comes close. The building isn't much to look at but don't let that scare you away, you will NOT be disappointed by eating here. My family travels all over the country and we have never had chinese food half as good as here. Give them a try and get addicted like my family has...

In some ways, this restaurant is about what you would expect from a Chinese eatery in Toledo - right down to the dark wood paneling on the walls.But the food is a notch above the typical Chinese fair in the city. I had the sesame chicken - white meat, good quality, well seasoned, insane quantity; it was the largest hill in Toledo. The rice noodles were a nice touch. Even the kids' portion was large. Yes, a Chinese restaurant with a Kids' Menu. My family appreciated that.For the amount quality food we received the prices were incredible. A great value.

Took adult children to dinner with grandma for her birthday. Spring rolls were piping hot and tasty. Dumplings, Happy Family, and walnut chicken were delicious. Szechwan Chicken ordered extra spicy was fine, but oily...like the sauce separated. This was a first. We love the newly renovated decor and will return like always!

Absolutely love the food!!! Got the crab ragoons and chicken potstickers and it was great!!! Originally came for the tropical grill strawberry daiquiri but ended up loving the food too!!
