This place came highly recommended by local friends in KuantanRestaurant is situated smack in Kuantan town, just waze ur way hereAmple car parkFood was really good, their signature dish was the Coconut Prawn and it didn't disappoint us.Food was so good that, i brought 2 other friends the next day for dinner
Found this place by accident. Initially, the group of us wanted to go to Hai Peng which is 2 doors away. As Hai Peng was packed, we decided to give this place a try.All of us ordered the dried kuey tiao. It is just nice, not too salty. The fishball is chewy and nice. The soup is tasty with lots of fried onion. However, the "chee cheong fan" is average.

So far the best in Kuantan. Ordered both the curried and dry kueh teow with egg plant, tau foo, bitter gout and foo chok. They were filled with fish paste and a taste of salted fish. Unfortunately they do not have a dipping sauce.

One of the reasons we picked this hotel to come back to when in the region is the excellent Chinese restaurant that serves game meat. Black pepper dear and spring onion ostrich are really nice.

Just opposite our hotel and saw many good reviews! Went there for brekkie since we missed the hotel breakfast and we really enjoyed it! Nice serving of curry beehoon, chicken, taupok, fishballs, daogei and delicious curry gravy!Perfect breakfast stuff! The place can get quite busy and since they make each dish individually, may take awhile to be served. Do not go there too hungry! Can be quite a wait but worth it!Highly recommended :)

We went to Alor Akar Restaurant for dinner twice during our brief vacation in Kuantan. On both occasions, it was crowded, but the food quality remained very good. Dinner # 1 : Steamed Patin fish in soya sauce, pork ribs in fruit sauce, stir fried water spinach (kangkung) in belacan paste. Dinner # 2 : Steamed patin fish in soya sauce, salted egg squid, and kungpao mantis prawns. Yes, we loved the steamed Patin fish so much, we ordered it twice. Both dinners cost about RM60+, which was very reasonable considering the large portions despite us ordering the small size for all dishes. We would definitely revisit the next time we're in Kuantan....so many more menu items to savour.
