I've been wanting to try out Pin Wei ever since my co-worker's wife (who is Chinese) recommended it. She insisted that some of her Chinese friends say that PW is hands down the most authentic Chinese in the region. While authentic Chinese might not appeal to everyone, especially with how Americanized the cuisine is; it's definitely a draw for me. The dining room is very upscale and the waitstaff is all very native Chinese. In fact, two separate employees (one server and the hostess) both began to speak to me in Chinese (I'm Korean). When they spoke to me in English, they did so with a heavy accent. They are friendly, but perhaps they may not come off that way. And anyway, the most important part of the experience is the food, isn't it? We ordered the Dry Pepper Chicken ($17), Snow Pea Leaves in Garlic Sauce ($17), Shrimp Mei Fun ($11), and Dumplings in Chili Oil ($6). The portions were huge, as we were able to take home with us enough food for a dinner for two adults and two kids. The dumplings were a highlight. While the dumplings didn't have a ton of meat, I liked it better that way. 8 dumplings were soaked in a bowl of chili oil, which had a sweet and spicy taste that wasn't overpowering. The chicken and snow pea leaves dish are the same that I get at Han Dynasty (a Philly area chain) and Chef Tan (in Newark, DE). Both were on par with those two establishments. I would have loved to have sampled more items on the menu, but I had two young and restless kids with me. Ironically, the lunch specials offer only Americanized Chinese dishes, so I'd stay away from them.

I found Asian Bistro after I was really disappointed at Pin Wei in this area. Asian Bistro is really my style Chinese food. I tried several different menus here and I enjoyed all of them. It is strange that I don't see many customers in this good restaurant whenever I dined here.

We just walked in for dinner as we were in the locality. The food was great, service was also good. We ordered the Lemonglass with Shrimp and the Hot and Sour soup, we liked the Lemongrass one better. The Crispy Calamari was delicious. Seafood Tempura and Kung Pao Chicked went well for entrees. All in all a superb dinner.

So besides taking 20 minutes to find this place, and parking, its an interesting new place inside the ground floor of a 20 floor condo. There's very little parking out front. We were the only people inside this evening. This is convenient if you live upstairs or in an adjoining building for take out. It is a chinese (American) and sushi menu. We got bbq spare ribs and asked for (a spicy) chicken dish but I think they charged us for another. The food came out microwave fast, so that wasnt a good start. Ribs were not tender and some of them were overcooked to dry. The chiken dish was rated spicy but it wasnt really at all. The presliced chicken came with fresh vegetables, sliced large and was tasty. We needed more rice and were charged for a second serving, the initial is kinda small. The place is clean and it seemed like a mom-pop shop with a daughter as waitress. I hope the rent is cheap since its a bit out of the way until they grow a clientele. The sushi might be good but its not my thing. I'd say give it a shot but stick with something safe first bet. We'll give 'em another shot and sample other items.

We called on a Saturday in the middle of the evening...We have called them before and we weren't crazy about the food but we wanted to stay in so we ordered from China house We ordered Generals Tso chicken combo( with pork rice+ eggroll)My gf ate dumplings and wonton soupThey charge a lot for tax it seems... it went from 15 to 20 something bucksNormally it takes them ( or any Chinese delivery) 30 -45 min. They said it would be there in an hour. ONE HOUR. are they kidding me? for Chinese food? and we were 5 minutes away driving. well guess what. after 1 hr 15 min later they still were NOT here. I called them up and said where are they? they said they would call the driver and call me right back in 2 min. 6 min later they didn't call back so i called. The woman apologized up and down but i said this was unacceptable. HIRE MORE DRIVERS PLEASE!.Alot of people are unemployed in the country! So they said they will get someone else is on the way and will be there in 5 to 10 min.. Oh and since i had to wait they would take off a WHOPPING 10% off the bill. They should have cut the bill in half at least for making me wait that long. The dumplings tasted disgusting ( I ordered after someone online said theirs was good) and the pork fried rice seemed very generic and bland.everything else as just average at BEST.Needless to say we will never call them up ever againthe worst part? We called China king once before and they were even worse. Why are there no good Chinese food take out/ deliveries in KOP ?Considering its a big commercial/industrial town with the largest mall on the east coast it would have better Chinese food.never again. Ill go to NON Chinese restaurants whenever im in KOP. And i love Chinese food too. they just lost a great customer.
