We went to rice on Sunday, it was for my Mums birthday. Service was brilliant, food was excellent, everything was done as asked, table was decorated, with flags up saying happy Birthday. Cake was brought to the table after the meal, with candles on, music on and we sang happy birthday, there was also happy birthday on the ceiling above the table.You don't know what your missing if you don't go there. We will be going back. We had the buffet, eat as much as you like for nineteen pounds.

This used to be a quality Chinese restaurant. However, in recent months, and in particular last week, the food has been sub-standard. The chicken we were served had an unreal, stringy texture, and tasted of nothing. When I questioned the waitress, she said, "Thats how it comes". The service has also declined, with a surly, unhelpful attitude common amongst the staff.

We visited on a Tuesday evening, quite early. The restaurant is located down some stairs. I don't know if they have alternative access for those who can't manage stairs.The restaurant is very spacious, and beautifully decorated. The staff are friendly without being overbearing, and they are very efficient, helpful and polite. There is an excellent choice, our food arrived quite quickly, and it was delicious. The portions were quite large, and we were unable to finish. I was going to ask for a "doggy bag", but the waiter offered it unprompted.The prices are in keeping with other Chinese restaurants around the town, but I have to say that the overall experience was a cut above the rest.
