Find out what Chinese restaurants to try in Hamilton. Bermuda’s capital hosts hordes of cruise visitors in its harbor area, where two-story pastel buildings line the seafront. On certain summer nights, waterfront streets are closed to traffic and vendors and entertainers take their place for boisterous Harbour Nights parties. Stock up on Bacardi at the rum giant’s HQ or explore the mysteries of the sea at Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute. Hamilton presents some excellent golfing and shopping opportunities and is easy to explore on foot.

Located in the heart of Hamilton the main city, L'oriental is above The Little Venice so making a decision where to go was hard. In the end we went to the Thursday buffet at L'Oriental and our repeat visits for the sushi, calamari, chicken and pork dishes was an indication of how we liked the food with some teppanyaki ,was definitely the right decision. It was lunch so we just had sparkling water. This beautiful restaurant provided good service and was good value for money.

We've eaten at Wok Express (or more accurately, 'taken away from') more than at any single other place on Bermuda, so it would probably rate 'good'. Where I can't bring myself to rate it 'VERY good' is in the price. It is impossible to have two entrees for less than $25, and for basic Chinese (in many the many countries we've lived), this just seems criminal. The persons taking the orders are friendly and efficient enough. The food tastes good, not great, is ALWAYS hot-off-the wok, and this is about as close as Bermuda gets to 'fast food' (though the wait can be 10-12 minutes when they're busy, and their parking arrangements both on Middle Road and upper Court Street, usually are hard-pressed to meet these 'mini demands'). I'd love to see a competitor in the Chinese fast-food take out business, but the only other establisment I know of, Chopstix, downtown, seems just as pricey. If you're hungry, want to eat out, don't want to pay the hefty 17% 'service charge' and are willing to take this on a picnic or back home or to your hotel room where you can couple it with a beer or wine, this is one of your best Bermuda bets.
