Super clean and friendly, have never had anything bad there, everything is very good, but my favorite is vegetable chow mein, but shrimp or chicken chow mein equally as great, it is just that I'm a veggie guy, they also have take outs, and prices to fit anyone's budget!
Glen Carbon Food Guide: 10 Must-Eat Restaurants & Street Food Stalls in Glen Carbon
I always find it amazing that an actual Chinese person runs these restaurants. Friendly and smiley, it's fun when they show me how to properly eat with chopsticks. I have small, fat fingers so my experiences with them are always comical. Anyway, I enjoyed a nice late lunch here after finishing my Christmas shopping, enjoyed sweet and sour shrimp with the egg roll, and ate lightly for two days after that. Their menu is large, portions are always generous, and their prices are fair and competitive and I would go back. I wish there was a Jade Garden in Springfield, Illinois.
Can't complain: the food here is good. Customer service is ok and luckily there is an English speaking girl working at the register. Many customers take food to go at 6 pm. A good place to eat. I ordered 3 dishes: crab Rangoon, sea food platter, and dumplings. They are all pretty good.
I stopped in for a quick lunch and the food and service was very good. The lunch specials are amazingly good. If you are a big eater, this may not be the place for you to have lunch. But if you want good service, good food and a good portion for a reasonable price, then the Orient is the right place to go.

I've been coming here regularly ever since this place opened, many years ago. Shangri La is a family owned restaurant and a favorite with all my friends who like Chinese food. They have a great list of combination lunch specials as well as a full menu of entrees for lunch or dinner. The owner is very nice gentleman; English is his second language, and he may seem a bit abrupt at times, but trust me, he just wants to get things done as efficiently as possible. The restaurant has a nice Asian décor with booths and tables. I especially like the following: Hot and Sour Soup; Beef and Broccoli; steamed pork pot stickers; Moo Shu Pork; Orange Chicken; Hunan Shrimp & Scallops; Beef Tenderloins in Black Pepper Sauce.

Gourmet, chef driven Asian Fusion offering many traditional stir fries, along with creative twists, such as the Bangkok Boom - a Sapporo beer battered chicken or shrimp dish, and Asparagus stir fry! We offer convenient delivery, take out, and dine in. Ful
We ordered take out while staying nearby. It was ready when promised. The food itself - potstickers and pad Thai - was okay in a pinch but not something Iâd seek out if I lived nearby.
