This is an honest assessment of my experience tonight at Charming Garden. It's not a gripe-fest, but unfortunately there isn't a lot to report that's positive.Ever have one of those evenings when some good Chinese, Japanese or Thai food was the only way to go? That was tonight for me. I had looked forward to going back to Charming Garden for the first time in a while. BIG mistake.First, I'll say that the service was OK (the only reason I didn't give the restaurant one star rather than two) . . . no problems. That being said, the food was just plain awful. Steamed vegetable dumplings were heavy, thick and soggy. My entree was chicken with mixed vegetables, and I had asked that one particular vegetable be omitted. It wasn't. The chicken was noticeably undercooked. Most of the vegetables were somewhere between room temperature and cold. Spring rolls were soft and greasy with oil pooled on the exterior, not crisp. Basically, I ate the dumplings and almost none of the rest . . . declined a doggie bag, too.NOT recommended. Go elsewhere.

If you want Chinese food in Levittown, there's one place to call... Hing Wah. Our entire family swears by this place. It is a hands-down must-have at least once a week. Every dish tastes wonderful. And the eggrolls and crab rangoon? The best we have ever tasted. Prices can't be beat, either.

This was our first time here and we were really impressed. They have a big selection of Chinese, Japanese and Thai food. It's very nicely decorated and very clean. The service was wonderful. The food was awesome all the way around. We shared the boneless BBQ spareribs and Dragon Roll for our appetizer. The Dragon Roll is AWESOME! I had the Maki Dinner and my husband had the Double Delight with garlic sauce. Both were really good. The Double Delight had big shrimp and scallops! We will definitely be back.

This review is based on a few visits over the last few months. The Good:--------------The only thing "Good" I can think of is the price. It's cheaper than other chinese food places around this area. The Bad:--------------Food quality was borderline. While not absolutely horrible the taste was very predictable and bland at the same time. The portions were average size. They got my order wrong more than once. The Ugly:--------------The food packaging was horrible, haphazard, with leakage everywhere.THEY DO NOT DELIVER. For a Fast Food Chinese place to not deliver is very strange.

We have been going here for years now - very plain interior, but not tacky and usually has softly playing music. The owner is very attentive and the food is ALWAYS good with NO issues - thank you to her!

It's surprisingly popular (and the TripAdvisor ratings are quite high), but it's not really Chinese food; it's the carby, sweet & salty stuff that some Americans think is Chinese food. (Think Pupu Platters, Crab Rangoon, sweet & sour fried shrimp.) So if you like all that, you'll probably be happy here, but if you actually want Chinese food, stay away.Big portions, medium prices.Toilets are pretty dirty.
