We were in the area overnight before flying out for vacation and stumbled upon the Oriental Wok. We were immediately greeted by an enthusiastic, friendly lady who we came to find out was the owner. She and our server (who was terrific!) helped us pick out apps and entrees ... SO much delicious food!! Since we were there after the dinner rush, the owner chatted quite a while with us - telling us about her family and some of the history of the restaurant. What a delightful evening!

Poor quality. Poor service. Prices online and on the menu are not the same as when you go in to pay. We were quoted a totally different price. Grocery store egg rolls are better quality than what we received. They were greasy and once past that first bite we found an unidentifiable "pink" crumbly substance. The rest of our order consisted of crab rangoons, pad thai, sesame chicken. All bad. We ended up throwing it away. We will not be returning.

The China Star is now one of most favorite Chinese restaurants. It is a small, cozy restaurant that is privately owned with the owners always present. The service is welcoming and friendly. The food is very good always prepared with fresh ingredients. The vegetable rolls are especially good and are a must try. The lunch menu is well planned and an excellent value. The dinner menu is much larger with several specialties. They have a steady takeout service as well. This is one of those small restaurants that is an excellent find.
We usually go out to eat once a week, and, I missed last week's trip. The guys were going on and on about this place, so I pushed to visit here at lunch today.I was very impressed with the variety of offerings this buffet had. All the usual, most very fresh looking and tasting. They had all the usual and more. Most of the food was rather mild tasting, as I prefer Chinese and Mexican food rather spicy. For comparison, Chipotle is very, very bland to my tastes. Many of the customers were Chinese, if that is any measure of food quality. One point of interest, they had fresh cut bananas, which seems rare as these do not last long in the open air. Very inexpensive, as the buffet was only $6.75. My cheapskate co-workers only got water to drink.I am giving it 4 stars based on price and quantity. Food was still very enjoyable, but, it was not warm enough, the sauces were too thin (my General Tsao chicken ran like the French Army) and the dining room was too bright and cheerless.

I had a late business lunch at this restaurant (just outside Cincinnati). I expected a typical Chinese faire, but was surprised by the quality of food and the luxury atmosphere. The restaurant looked as if it catered to many local regulars. The owner of the restaurant also took time and stopped at each table to say hi and ask about their food. I think those actions added a touch of class! The only tiny drawback was the food luncheon portions were a tad on the small size. Other than that, I highly recommend this restaurant.
