Excellent Oriental Restaurant in Chelmsford - I enjoyed an excellent meal here whilst working in the area. Staff were extremely welcoming, friendly, helpful with happy, smiling faces on my arrival. San's is a smart, clean, simple environment with a nice ambience.As a solo diner often establishments like this where you can choose and mix your orders up it is requirement for a minimum of two people eating - not in this case which was pleasing.A set menu price with plenty of good choices, each dish is freshly cooked to order and did not disappoint.Although the restaurant stipulates ordering at least one drink with the fixed price option and adds a 10% service charge, unusually for me I did not mind paying the extra as the meal itself represented very good value for money and the quality of food served was of a very high standard.I will be going back there again to eat.

Went with 20 others all sat together, Assumed each table of 8 would share bill, had to demand that each family had separate bills. plates snatched away soon as finished. Not sure they are used to large groups. Ribs very good but one person had prawns and asparagus and asparagus hardly cooked. the meal I choose came with chunks of raw onion. Would have liked a knife or an additional fork but not given. Daughter said Sainsburys lemon chicken was better. Satay chicken in starter quite pink which was worrying. Only one finger bowl for whole group as far as I could see. Finally prices on menu did not include VAT, Information on cover of menu, would have been better inside as most people look inside rather than cover.

Second visit and absolutely fab.The Lady even remembered us. Service amazing. Cleanliness (heard a lady comment.. "look they clean the hotplates before they put them away!"To the food now and the spare ribs are meaty and at least 7+ the chicken satay skewers were so succulent.The crispy half duck is huge and tasty.The bean sprouts, chicken curry and chow mein were awesome.The rice was the best ever. How can rice be that good? It can and it made a difference.We had a treat of banana fritters which were so delicious.Absolutely no negatives.Just a fantastic family place.Can't recommend highly enough. Such nice kind people.

I had a lovely dinner last night with my family at Banana tree. The food was amazing, full of flavors. Luckily Sofia attended us and we are very grateful to meet her, she was very kind in helping us and informing us about the operation of the taste card since it is the first time we used it. We are very sure that we will visit again and soon.

It is always a pleasure to eat at Zenxi. The food is always delicious, especially the lemon chicken! We are always well looked after by Mark and the service is great! It never disappoints :) The food is always so fresh and you definitely wonât go home hungry! Canât wait for my next visit x
