Located in west-central Trinidad, south of Port of Spain, north of Couva and San Fernando, named after the indigenous tribe who originally settled there, it grew in size due to its proximity to the Woodford Lodge sugar refinery. It remained a minor town until the 1980s when it began to grow rapidly as it drew people for its bargain shopping and moderately-priced housing. Visited for dinner to satisfy our craving for Hakka's food with delightfully intricate and unique flavours all delivered with exceptional customer service in a cozy amazing ambience!Hats off to our server Mr Agenon who delivered the best service we have ever experienced in Trinidad & Tobago! We've been to Hakka many times before but this time we had the best service.The hot and sour soup as well as the wantons are mouthwatering! Just go, don't think twice!

Food is excellent here as always. Service is average depending on who you get to serve you. There is timely arrival of food, wonderful ambience especially around Christmas time. However, if you are looking to spend quality time with your significant other, Fridays and Saturdays tend to have a noisy crowd on evenings

The restaurant is in the midst of a lower income area but it is beautifully designed with taste and class. There were adequate amounts of attendants but the behavior was a bit unprofessional for the price point of the restaurant.The food was average except for the shrimp which was horrible.This reistuuranr needs to train the servers better and make significant improvements to the quality and taste of the food.

Ordered food to takeaway for lunch for my family. They were able to prepare the food in a short time and it was still very tasty! They have a special offer of free wantons when you spend a certain amount, those wantons were awful, however the extra portion I ordered were good! The prices were good for the portion size as well! Good for takeaway service!

This time i had the Salmon Fillet. Slightly crusty. With buttered cassava, mushrooms, cold salad and coleslaw..Service on the spot. Also on the table was Singapore noodles, Assorted vegetables as well as other items. Much improved.

Wide variety of foods for vegetarians and meat lovers alike! The food at Buffet King is absolutely delicious, and the deserts are high quality, especially the brownies. Folks celebrating their birthdays even get a special discount. Will definitely recommend this restaurant.

Eponymous tandoori chicken was not the best, somewhat dry, but khurma and butter chicken were abulous, as were nons and samosas, and very good gulab jamun. The staff was very helpul and pointed out where one can buy the best Indian spices or which Trinidad is famous bearing in mind Indiasn settles mid 19th century.
