My buddy and I went to Sui's for something different. The people are friendly and fast to provide service. I had the tofu and vegetable lunch special. It was OK. There were plenty of vegetables and the tofu was cooked right but I wasn't a fan of the sauce.
Chinese food has many variations. On top of that Chinese immigrants to Bangladesh, India, and Pakistan created their own distinct flavor by using local vegetables, ingredients and spices. When those immigrants or chefs came over to the US, they brought over this unique flavor with them. This is one of those Indo-Chinese restaurants. The food was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. For a great experience, the generous portions of food should be ordered and shared family style among several people in a group. If you try to order individual style you may end up ordering too much and missing out on the variety that you need to experience on your visit. Food can be prepared with as much heat as you like -- you can also sprinkle in some of the pickled peppers or hot sauce. One order of soup and two main food dishes may be plenty to share among three or four people. We had a great experience and we look forward to our next visit. This is not a very fancy restaurant - it is meant to be inexpensive and good. Order at the counter and the food will be brought to your table.

Had some decent Chinese dishes - including the crispy eggplant which is particularly tasty - but would say the restaurant tries many types of food (Chinese, sushi, Thai) that limits some of the chinese variety. They tend to have the classic Chinese dishes. The sushi was mediocre. Not great/not bad.

I read the other review for Kim's Hunan and pretty much agree with what was said. However, I give the restaurant a rating of 4, when considering price, food quality, and circumstances. This restaurant have been through tough times with the closing of most of the shops in the older Burtonsville shopping center and the opening of a new one across the street (poor planning by city/county/business folks in my opinion, in addition to getting affected by some arrangement that prevented another grocery store from opening at the old Giant - I dont know enough of the details, but basically getting screwed by the Giant due to some early lease arrangement). But I digress...The staff at Kim's Hunan has been cut back to bare minimum, but they are hanging in there. I have been going there since the early 90s. During the past winter, I think they were cutting back on utilities as it was FREEZING inside. So try to excuse the less than stellar service, and appreciate that they are still in business serving the community, and that the food has been consistently good. I hope for a rebound of this business as well as the shopping center soon. Some recommendations:- combination lo mein- deep fried squid in spicy salt, also the pork- fried chicken wings- pork chop served with noodle soup- kung pao chicken lunch specialRecommendations for Kim's Hunan staff:- be more courteous- bring back additional servers, even just one more to help with customer service- dont skimp on heating during the winter, I actually avoided going there knowing I would not enjoy eating in at lunchSummary - if you are a local or just visiting, give this establishment a chance. Food is above average for the restaurant type and it has been around serving the community and deserves our support.
This has to be one of the worst food experiences ever. I'm here right now, and I am walking out. The food was horrible and smelled just the same. It was full of grease and not pleaseing at all. After asking for the check, we were asked why we didn't want boxes. I was honest and told him the food was not good. There was no offer to remake the food, provide us with any other dish, or a discount. I politely paid the $25 dollar bill and will NEVER return.

I have been ordering food from this restaurant for years. Very consistent quality and fast delivery with a smile. The Chef Specials are very tasty. Largest Fried Wings I have every had! Always juicy and fresh inside and nice and crispy outside. Good hours of operation. Try them.

Good rolls at reasonable prices. They deliver on door dash, and the presentation was nice. Better taste and price than others in the area.
