Great food. We had the £25 pp all ypu can eat - sounded like there were conditions on how that worked but we had a lovely meal. Freindly service and huge portions of delicious food. Will go again. Nice chairs to eat in too
Never had a bad chinese from here we as a family have visited for 40 years plus Great service although on weekend better to call in than ring as it is so popular ! Well done Mary and family !
Great tasting Food and very reasonably priced. We have had a take away from here for over 3 years it's always very good.
My wife and I have been using Good Food Direct, a marvellous 'Chinese meal take-away' a number of times. Their food quality, and service has been consistently very good, and their prices are very good with encouragement for scanning and ordering from their very comprehensive menu.Food can be ordered and is always available for collection in a fairly short and sensible time. Home delivery is available. We have never been disappointed with the food or the service. The menu covers a wide range of types of Chinese food with good starters, excellent main courses and the amount of food provided in each menu item is very good.Their telephone number is 01656 668600 - give them a try, you will not be disappointed in any way.

Despite living relatively close to this establishment, I had never ordered from Godfrey's before tonight and man alive it was an EPIC let down. Admittedly, I didn't order much and opted for my 'safe go-to' dishes: sweet and sour chicken balls, crispy chilli beef chicken fried rice with an extra portion of barbecue sauce. The sweet and sour chicken balls, pretty much standard but the sauce was akin to thickened vinegar with red food colouring - very unpleasant! The crispy chilli beef, well that was something to behold - the beef was indeed crispy but the sauce used was the exact same as that used in the sweet and sour chicken ball dish with the addition of a few chopped green chilli's, it was all kinds of wrong. The chicken fried rice, well if that saw the inside of a wok then I will buy and eat a hat!! Boiled rice, strips of flavourless chicken and a scattering of green peas - utterly bland are the words I would use here! Then the pièce de résistance, the barbecue sauce - I'm sorry, but that was 100% Bisto beef gravy (and not the kind from a jar either!) with some sort of attempt at seasoning - it was inedible. On the whole, an awful take away experience, one in which I won't be repeating again - highly UNRECOMMENDED!

As a vegetarian, it is often difficult to get good takeaway food, with the vegetarian options offered quite regularly sub standard. An khang has great vegetarian options, whether it is a takeaway or a sit down meal, and they are always accomdationg, willing to make all meals a vegetarian alternative.

I have ordered a take away three times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the food BUT on 2 occasions they have got my address wrong and my food went to the wrong address so unfortunately I will not be ordering from them again, if they cannot get my address correct then they do not deserve my custom and I have found another Chinese just as good . It is such a shame but there we are. The person who took my order read my address back to myself but gave the driver the wrong address so hey

On an early Saturday evening, we were seated in an isolated corner surrounded by small children and their disinterested parents, after squeezing past parked prams. When asked to be moved we were told there were no available tables although there clearly were and we told to come back in an hour! We decided to leave and when my partner politely complained she was met with a couldn't care less attitude, when told she would give a poor review the staff said "Do what you like." needless to say we won't return.

We had not visited for some time but were greeted like old friends. The owners , Kin and Raymond cannot do enough for you and, as usual, were wonderfully flexible on what could be ordered. The ambience is terrific and the food fabolous and reasonably priced. ( I had previously taken a well travelled Chinese friend there and he said it was the best Chinese food outside of China )My wife and I left not understanding why we had not returned for such a long period.
