This place has the best Chinese food I ever eaten. Food was light and not over salted and drowning in soy sauce like typical Chinese food. Combination plates are a bargain and are enough for two meals for me. We ordered the beef and broccoli and general tso's combo plates; combos come with pork fried rice and an egg roll. Superb food! The restaurant is located in a small strip mall next to a gas station they have limited seating and seems everyone just grabs take out which is what we did. You can even grab dessert of ice cream next door in your way out!
Beware being a credit card using diner at this place. They have a big sign on the counter that indicates cash only. That made my visit most unpleasant, as I carry very little cash. I cannot speak about the food, but I ended up at a really nice place called Panda III on the Vestal parkway near SUNY when I had to find another takeout spot because this place did not accept credit cards at all.

This place is my favorite new restaurant. The ingredients are so fresh, even the fried rice is way above the standard cookie cutter Chinese food places we have a hundred of in the area. The dumplings are simply outstanding. I honestly have come here 1-2 times a week for the last few months since discovering it. The staff/owner is friendly and boy does he know how to cook. I hope they catch on with the student population and grow their business. It seems there are only 2 people working hard in the kitchen. Hopefully they can eventually find a bigger space and keep this amazing food in the area. FYI - The dark sauce on the table is vinegar, not soy. They accept credit cards. There is parking on the side of the building. There does not appear to be a bathroom for customers.

We ate dinner there on Black Friday. The owners was super nice. The food was typical Chinese food. The impressive part was how hot the food was. When I took a bite it steamed my eye glasses. If I am going to be in Binghamton I will definitely eat dinner there again.

This is a neighborhood little storefront that you will drive right by heading south on Pa Avenue after you exit 434. Look for the Weis Supermarket on your right and slow down. You are about to pass the place. We enjoy their Special Chow Mein, and their Singapore Mei Fun. Both are great values at $8.00 to $10.00. We ask for extra "hot and spicy" treatment, since some of the time we find these selections to be bland. They do a consistently good job with their Beef Teriyaki appetizer ($4.50) and BBQ Spare Ribs (bone-in) ($12.00-large order of 10 ribs). The beef has been tender and the teriyaki has been mild, yet tasty. The ribs are usually the star of the show with just the right proportion of unhealthy and very tasty fat to meat and the meat bbq'd just enough to remain tender most of the time. Hey, nobody is perfect. I sometimes like their Hot & Sour Soup and sometimes I don't. But, at $3.70 for a quart, it's a gamble worth taking. The China Star has a long list of Chef's Specialties in the $8.00 to $10.00 range. They offer Lunch Platters for $5.20 from 11AM to 3PM and they offer Special Combination Platters for under $8.00 that include pork fried rice and an egg roll. This place provides economical no frills and no cred card Chinese take out. They serve up a good variety and provide excellent portion sizes. They do have a few tables in case you can't wait to get home!I recently splurged on their Scallops With Garlic Sauce for $11.00. There was an OK amount of sliced scallop rounds in the dish but the garlic sauce was not hot or spicy as was advertised on the Menu. It was, however, very tasty and not chock full of broccoli. I was happy about that. There are a lot of Chinese food options in the Vestal and Binghamton Areas. Add this one to your list.
