My wife and I visit here regularly and we love the place! The staff are always welcoming and the food is great.Portion sizes are huge and food is served piping hot and freshly cooked. The only thing to add would be a liquor license. It would be great to wash food down with a beer or glass of wine. Heartily recommended!

If you're looking for minimally acceptable food to satisfy your hunger, and aren't picky for style, decor, presentation, service or other requirements, you are in luck. Show up to Chen's Garden Chinese Restaurant, and you will be able to scoop food out of a centralized trough, take it back to your table and eat it. You will leave full, as you can have as much as you'd like for one price.

Don't let the outside fool you. Chen's has great food. We were looking for better Chinese food than what you can find in Athens, and we came upon the reviews on TripAdvisor. Everything was delicious. Best General Tso's I've had, excellent egg rolls, and must-try donuts. My daughter was excited to see two trains go by on the tracks across the street. too.
That's not a chinese cooking. Too bad to call chinese cooking. Everything tastes MSG only. Too bad! No dine-in. They do delivery with little charge. It's an option for those people has no transportation and want to fill up the stomach with some food. But definitly not to enjoy the food.

We have eaten at Oriental Kitchen many times, and it is always pretty good. I like that we can sit down and eat food that is on real plates, and drink from real glasses. Some others places around the area serve food on styrofoam, which automatically makes it less appealing. On our most recent trip, I chose the General Tso's Chicken. It was a good meal, but I do prefer it to be spicier. I see "Spicy" on a menu, and expect there to be some good eye-watering heat involved. The only real negative I've had at this establishment is that the parking lot is shared with several other businesses in a small plaza, and parking it tight. I will only go during off-peak hours, so I can park away from others and avoid door dings. We will be back again. Next time, I may just ask them to make mine a little spicier if possible.

We visited early in the afternoon, so the place was quiet, and service was good. I liked that the food was served on plates and drinks were in glasses, instead of styrofoam like other local Chinese restaurants. To start off, the sweet tea was very good, and I really liked the soup. I ordered the General Tsu's Chicken, which was very bland. The chicken was tough and grizzly. It wasn't bad, just bland. My wife ordered Cashew Chicken. She couldn't eat it. Her first comment to me was to ask if a piece of the chicken was a mushroom. There was a pile of gray, slimy bits on the plate, which I think was chicken. She tasted a piece and had a disgusted look. I tried a piece of it and found it inedible. It was rubbery and stringy, and unlike any Chicken we have tried. She ended up eating the vegetables and rice, and leaving the pile of meat. She had a far worse experience I did. We won't be back. There are a half dozen Chinese places in the area, and all of the others have been better, even the ones that serve food in styrofoam.

Went to Asia Cafe often for a number of years and they had the best Chinese food around. Sometime in 2014 the ownership changed hands several times. Not sure when the other reviewers visited this restaurant. When we visited in March 2015 we immediately noticed the food was not as good. While eating we smelled cigarette smoke and looked around and saw the cook smoking in the kitchen. We then told the server the cook was smoking in the kitchen. Her response was that she had told him not to do it and that it smelled bad! We soon left and have never been back.So aside from being totally unhealthy and just plain dirty it is against the law.

I stop here often when shopping here. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It's not gourmet Chinese, but they do certain dishes well. The hot and sour soup has good flavor, and the crab Rangoon is awesome. I've ordered it as a meal I like it so much. Don't order the fried rice. It's bland with very little egg and nothing else.
