Was getting tired of Italian and Swiss food so we did change up and tried this small restaurant. First warning, when in Europe and traveling with more than 4 ppl, you need to reserve for dinner anywhere you go, otherwise there is no guarantee you will get a table even if the place is empty. European restaurant seems like they will hold your table 1 or more hr before you arrive. Anyway, the basil shrimp and Cantonese fried rice were on point! Even the noddle dishes were surprisingly good. Service was a little stiff it seems, not very friendly but adequate. Do if you need a Chinese/Asian fix in Berne, this is the place.

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here on a Saturday evening. The place was well occupied, but not overly full and it would have been possible to get a spot without a reservation. However, I would recommend making a reservation because it appears you get seated in the nicer part of the restaurant. We made the reservation on their website about 4 hours before going and it worked perfectly. I would consider this restaurant to be rather authentic and, yes, we have been to China before so we have a decent baseline to compare against. While they do tone down some of the flavors and especially the level of spiciness, you can get many dishes you would find in the areas of China we visited. There were also quite a few Chinese people there, which can indicate it's level of authenticity - or at least it's a nod in the right direction. We were quite surprised with the price because most main courses range from CHF 20-23 and the portions are quite good. Thus, we would say it is a pretty good value. We tried the house special general tsao's chicken, the kung pao chicken, and the egg plant - the last two were on their list of most frequently ordered mains. We enjoyed all main courses and had some left overs to take home, which they gladly box for you. The food came out fast, but was also hot and fresh. We had our entire meal in front of us within 10-15 minutes of ordering. We would definitely go to this restaurant again the next time we are in Bern.
