Casual Chinese dining in the heart of the Canberra CBD. Serving Locals and visitors since 1962.
There's nowhere quite like Happy's! This restaurant has been running since 1962! The food is tried and true recipes that are always a winners. The current owner (grandson of the origin) is still cooking his grandfathers way. My husband and son love eating the Pork Stew as it reminds them of the pork stew my mother in law used to make. Weâve never had a disappointing meal at Happyâs! Happyâs is âa must visitâ when coming to Canberra .

Opposite the Manuka Cinema
Have eaten here a number of times in recent years. The service and food are always excellent and they have a number of small tables suitable for solo diners and unlike some other restaurants, Bambusa actually makes you feel welcome. A comprehensive menu and generous size serves. Popular most nights of the week- need to either book or arrive early on Friday and Saturday nights - especially if you are a larger group

Our meal was brought out very quickly and rice refilled straight away. Staff, although efficient, werenât friendly. The food was pricey for the serving size and quality. However, the prices were similar for all the restaurants in that block. An example was a prawn dish which cost about $30, had about 8 prawns, which was fine, good number of beans and about 3 mushrooms.

This Chinese restaurant has an open kitchen , which can also be viewed from the street. This restaurant is very vibrant, with its specialty, dumplings. The food is very tasty, with prompt service, and the restaurant is bright and clean and has an extensive menu and an array of wines available. Also the restaurant food is very reasonably priced and located near the Canberra Centre with parking!

Wild Duck is a restaurant for a fine dining experience. While the halls may be frequented by some of the nations's most powerful leaders, Wild Duck remains a warm and welcoming restaurant that is perfect for anyone to explore the broad and exciting world
Dined in here on a very cold Canberra night. Entrees looked very interesting so shared four different ones between us, duck croquettes, Balmain bug dumplings, wagyu beef dumplings and seared scallops. Duck croquettes were good, both lots of dumplings were exceptional but my favourite was the scallops, just seared on the outside, they were opaque on the inside, just about perfect. Seeing the entrees were quite dainty we decided to order two mains, the massaman beef cheek and the sticky lamb ribs, when the massaman beef came out it was a huge serve, the beef was just so tender and melt in your mouth and the actual curry was by far the best massamam I have ever had, it was perfect, seeing the curry was so big we had actually over ordered in the end, the lamb ribs came out and the first couple we had were sweet and succulent but in the end couldn't finish them off and after such a beautiful curry the lamb started to get a bit fatty in the end, still a good dish but would have been better ordered between four instead or two. Service was excellent apart from the main guy almost pouring our wine on another table[ both tables shared the same ice bucket], wine list was good and not badly priced overall, while it is not the cheapest place to eat the food for the most part is exceptional and worth every cent, the dining area whilst quite small is still nice and intimate, definitely worth a visit for a special dinner.

Asian Eating House. Late night food in Braddon. Japanese, Korean & American Fusion.
A good meal- well played and full of flavour. We turned up without s booking and were surprised how buy it was, they managed to find us a seat at the bar (which was very nice). Food (although delicious) was overpriced but still in line with the area. All in all a very nice meal.

We had a set menu for 10 persons with about eight different courses coming out. The food was beautiful... and just enough for us all to not feel uncomfortable at the end. Top ups of steamed rice was provided throughout the evening. They had a good wine list featuring some lovely Australian wines. The flavours and presentation of the food was excellent ....
